In a world full of retired heroes, demons and magical creatures only one thing unites them all: their need for money.
Hundreds of participants join the Grim Greed Arena, a dubiously legal competition held in the wastelands, which pays big cash to its winners. The price? Your soul. A lifetime of service in the arena in exchange of treasures upon treasures... That is, if you survive.
Grim Greed Arena is a tabletop 1v1 strategy game in which players take control of a group of competitors as they scramble to reach the Victory Point goal before their opponents.
It is as of now in developement and we have plans to make it virtualy available in Tabletop Simulator.
Red got got by the first semester of uni but is finally free. Logical Chain is back with a vengeance (and a new short project and a boardgame).
Summary: Logchain will resume development in less than a week. Red is creating a 1v1 competitive battle arena boardgame (that will probably end up in tabletop simulator). A non-specific team (Red at least) will make a short 3D adventure game.
First point: Logical Chain. Both members of the team got real busy during the last month and the developement halted to a complete stop. Never fear, we haven’t given up, the script is coming along as are the rest of the project’s parts. Content output is sure to scale soon, tho alternated with the rest of the projects. We don’t have a release date yet, but we are aiming to complete the demo by Summer 2017. Hope you all look forward to it!
As for the boardgame!! You can follow developement on Red’s twitter, updates are posted daily (as of now, for 2 days, but still). It will be a 1v1 battle arena, where players will control and manage a team of 3 heroes around a map, fighting to defeat enemy heroes and complete map objectives, which will earn precious victory points! The player who attains the target number of VP first wins!
The irl model is being developed and used for initial testing and is not fully representative of the final game, specialy visualy, but design wise it will be pretty close.
And finaly: The adventure game. A while ago we showed a 2D project called “LS”. This one:
It has since been reviewed some times over until recently reformed into a 3D adventure game. The thing is, Logical Chain has priority over the rest right now, so it can’t be a full blown game. That being said, prototypes, demos and short games are OK, so that’s what this will be: A fully realized first area of what the complete game would look like.
Project LS will be a 3D first person role playing game, focused on exploring, with old school graphics. Think about Skyrim meets Dark Souls, but with graphics are like Doom and no budget.
Annnnnnnnd that’s it for this announcement! As always, if you’ve made it this far, well, thank you for reading! We’re looking forward to a year full of projects (finished ones, that is!) and hope that you do too!
A bunch of time has passed, so I feel like an announcement is in order!
First of all, a progress summary: The team is currently working towards completing the prologue and it’s no coincidence we’re posting now! Sprites, backgrounds, coding and script are all advancing rapidly and, while it’s still going to be a while until you can play it, we’ll be able to show all of it soon.
We’re also, as off right now, looking for proofreaders for the script. Spoiler alert, of course! We will accept both grammar and syntax revision as well as plot hole and inconsistency checks.
Thanks in advance and look forward to more news soon!
Though my internship, classes and working on Logical Chain take up most of my time, I have managed to scrap some free moments to work on small projects, so I wanted to show them.
To the left, a small placeholder only rts test. You can move around and Engage In Glorious Combat (though the health bars don’t really go down, pff). I started it cause I wanted to do something for a friend who likes this kinda games, but eventualy the other projects overwhelmed me and I just kinda left it as is. Maybe some day I’ll pick it up?
On the center, a game I titled Kii’s Amazing Surprise B-Day Adventure... Or something like that. I made it as a birthday present for my friend Kii and though it actually had a story (and a bit more content) planned, it ended up being just the notorious 707′s stage, hah. Kii was confused. It also ended up being pretty hard, I guess I can never trust myself as a tester, even for smol bday present games...
Finally right’s what I’m working rn. I’ve been playing Retro Game Challenge on the DS (it’s pretty cool!) and I wanted to do something like that?? I also love games with world maps and wanted to make one so in the end I guess it was a very self indulgent project, ahahaha. I’m still working on it.
Will I ever release any of this crap to the public: No. Probably. Who knows!
We’re slowly but surely progressing on the development of Logical Chain...!!
Sadly, almost every art thingy we made this week (yes, even placeholders and mock ups) are spoilers. But, you can enjoy this little monochrome person turning red. Be kind to monochrome person. They love you too.
So far, we’ve been working on the finishing touches to the cast (more soon) and on developing a short story that will serve as a demo for the final game. We will keep on working on the core game mechanics, coding and initial scripts during the next week. If you all behave, we may reward you with some exclusive gameplay teasers~!!
If you read our last announcement you may remember us talking about upcoming games and how we would release further information. Well, in the end we didn’t post any further announcements and spent the time working on them instead!
Logical Chain is our upcoming murder mystery visual novel, starring our two lovely ladies up here, and will tell the story about a group of individuals who love mystery (maybe a little too much) and gather to play a puzzling dangerous game with their lives at stake.
During the course of the next months, as we develop the game further, we’ll be posting updates live (as we’ve been doing with Sir Bunnington) at least once a week, so if Logical Chain piqued your curiosity, you might wanna stay tuned!!
I’ve been busy lately but since I’ve been working on Sir Bunnington from time to time and don’t wanna let it die here’s a screenie of the almost completed main room with the new background!!
Keep an eye out for more screenies soon~ish and info on our new project!!
While we did not really talk about it as it was being developed as a class final project, together with the aid of classmate Héctor Bella and during the last year and part of the summer this old school adventure game was finally finished. If you enjoyed the old N64 and PS2 action platformers this is your kind of game.
It was made on Unreal Engine 10 and contains a full story of about 1-2 hours of gameplay complete with its final boss battle.
You can download it for free on by goin to THIS PAGE (which you can also go to by clicking Star Traveler on the navigation menu).
While we worked hard to correct all game breaking bugs we could find, if anything happens please contact us so we can fix it and reupload a fixed version.
It’s been long since I (Red) have last updated. Finals, class projects and, well, THE STEAM SUMMER SALE got me a bit busy. This is a (probably not much short) summary of what happened this past month and what the studio’s plans for this summer are!
Abridged version: Check out the current version of our latest game Star Traveler here, expect some more games relatively soon and updates on their development sooner!
First of all, the obvious: There is a new page on the navigation list called "Star Traveler". Developed by Red and a uni classmate of his that has been working with him since the start of this year's classes in this game as their year long project. Star Traveler is a 3D old-school action platformer which you can find more about by going through the mentioned link or just by clicking here. The currently uploaded version is NOT the final one but rather the latest one so while there is some unfinished content and bugs you can still play through the entire main game until the end just fine.
As for what's in store, we have a few ideas for this summer of 2016!
Star Traveler has been reported to have some nasty bugs so one of our first priorities is fixing them as well as finishing the unfinished content. Now that every member's schedule will be more open, we will work on finaly updating the card list on Everlast Legends, as well as on the projects that we've been letting you see through screenshots from time to time. The new projects will, as of now, consist of a murder mystery visual novel and a top down 2D adventure game. One of those we already teased (I'm sure you can figure out which one) and we'll be showing some stuff from the other one pretty soon!
We will be making a proper release post for Star Traveler as soon as everything’s fixed too. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy it and what we'll show of the things to come!!
Everlast Legends is here to stay. We have worked a lot more than we thought it would take to make this happen, but it’s here, and we’re proud of it.
You can now install and play your friends with the 26 cards of the original set and try the rest of the Beginner cards in early development (the ones without an image).
While it started big and ambitious and is now a small project the studio will still like to thank the people who showed interest and believed in it. We will also keep working on it, finishing the imageless cards and eventually completing the 50+ card Beginner set, so keep an eye out for updates!
As per the rules, you can read the Beginner Guide and Ruling, just click HERE to download it.
