the palestine sunbird is a member of the sunbird family found in the middle east along with portions of sub-saharan africa. these birds use their uniquely shaped bills to access the inside of flowers; their diet is primarily insects and nectar. males are glossy iridescent blues & purples, while females are a soft brown with a pale underbelly. males are also slightly larger than females. these birds prefer dry, elevated habitats. they build purse-like nests that hang from trees, constructed of sticks and various other material held together with spiderweb.
Good Morning, have a nice weekend☀️
NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope has observed the well-known Ring Nebula in unprecedented detail. Formed by a star throwing off its outer layers as it runs out of fuel, the Ring Nebula is an archetypal planetary nebula. This new image from Webb’s NIRCam (Near-Infrared Camera) shows intricate details of the filament structure of the inner ring. There are some 20,000 dense globules in the nebula, which are rich in molecular hydrogen. In contrast, the inner region shows very hot gas. The main shell contains a thin ring of enhanced emission from carbon-based molecules known as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs).

LDN 1622 - The Boogeyman Nebula
LDN or Lynds' Dark Nebula's are areas of dense dust and gas that block our view in visible light from behind it. Most have two things in common, they are on the plain of the galaxy, meaning that behind them is a dense star field which the dark patch stands out against, and secondly they come along with an emissions or reflective nebula, further highlighting the deep darkness, giving the fake appearance of holes in space, and often used in scam social media posts to claim it's a hole and NASA doesn't know what it is, and are keeping it secret .. LOL .. Well, they know exactly what it is, and it's not a hole :)
In that respect, those posters are the true boogeymen, this is just a lot of dust and gas set against a beautiful backdrop.
JWST and other IR telescopes can see through it, often revealing a stellar nursery and proto stars and newly born stars, yet to drift far enough to become visible in light.
In fact, the red glow above, is caused by hidden blue giants bombarding the hydrogen gas with UV and causing it to glow.

New observations from the Hubble Space Telescope galaxy jellyfish!

globular cluster or NGC 6934

Studying the clouds of Mars and the Rover curiosity
