Following God is a wild, messy adventure. It is growing in ways and doing things you never thought you could because God strengthens you in amazing ways.

My job as a portrait photographer is to seduce, amuse and entertain.

To figure out what you’re madly in love with in any aspect of your life, become an experience gourmand. Try as many things as you can. Live every day as a taste test and savour the flavours you cook up through trial and error. Activate your Weird Idea Radar: when you see an opportunity to try something you’d normally consider off the beaten path, Just Do It. Not only is an action addiction infinitely more fun than ready-aim-aim-aiming, it will also give you a much more accurate and precise idea of what your true passions are.
Brad Bollenbach, Finding Your Passion
I learned this, at least, by my experiment: that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.

X-MEN: Days of Future Past
What would you correct from your past to save the future?
If there's anything I'd correct, I could have been braver and bolder in taking chances and grabbing opportunities. Also, to be less conscious of what other people might say. It's important to be comfortable in your own skin and to just be yourself.
There is no shortage of good days. It is good lives that are hard to come by. A life of good days lived in the senses is not enough. The life of sensation is the life of greed; it requires more and more. The life of the spirit requires less and less; time is ample and its passage sweet. Who would call a day spent reading a good day? But a life spent reading — that is a good life.
Annie Dillard, The Writing Life
