Uh oh, it seems she has been noticed and he has been spotted!

He raises a brow and turns to meet their gaze, cocking their head to the side as they cross their arms.

“You need something? Or are you here to cause trouble?”

"Um...well Im actually a little unsure of where to go.." she spoke honestly as she gently set her wooper friend on the ground.

"But um..how is it dangerous exactly?"

“Bad people, very bad people who hurt other people.”

His tone grows ominous as he stares at them with a stern expression.

“Get out of here before you get caught by someone who isn’t as forgiving.”

"I dont think Im here for trouble...actually to tell you the truth Im not sure where I am at all"

The happy little laugh she let out seemed genuine. She didnt seem afraid just confused and curious.

"Whats that uniform youre wearing?"

“None of your business.”

The mystery man was blunt and narrowed his cold gaze as his arms stayed crossed.

“You shouldn’t be snooping around here, you could get hurt.”

“Listen, you can’t change the past, what has been done is done.”

Calvin spoke in a gentle tone, or strict or aggressive as it was before. He seemed to pick up on Emmet’s shift in emotion and rather than continue to scowl, he felt it appropriate to be a bit calmer.

“I will still answer your question..”

“I believe that even if I did have a choice, I don’t really have anywhere else to go unless I fled to another region.”

He cleared his throat and his tense gaze seemed to soften a bit. Perhaps tired of trying to intimidate the subway boss.

“You have no need to apologize for your curiosity, it was harmless at best, foolish at worst.”

He smiled, perhaps a bit too softly at someone who was technically a criminal. His curiosity was sated for the time being- and hopefully this would allow him to get over the intrusive fixation he'd developed towards the other. Only time could tell, but Emmet felt like he understood the other better after this. He was satisfied with the logic behind his values. It was logic he could understand, even if it wasn't logic he would follow himself.

"Thank you for answering all of my questions." He gave the grunt a small, apologetic bow, relieved and grateful that his apology had been accepted and that the other wasn't too upset with him. "Though your routes forward might be limited, I hope the one you follow to the end treats you well."

"Now-" He clapped his hands together to signify the end of his incessant questioning. "-since you have been very nice- and since I have been sorrrrt of unprofessional..." That was an understatement. "If there is ever anything I can do to repay you please just let me know!" Cue one of his little salutes.

“I’m good.. you don’t need to do anything.”

The grunt spoke with an expression of apathy as he simply shrugged. Emmet was a bit too nosy about his own life, but it was harmless at the end of the day.

“I don’t really care that you’ve asked me questions since I’m not really scheduled to be anywhere. But next time, please try to speak to me in a more subtle manner, I don’t wanna draw any attention..”

There’s a glitter bomb in your mailbox!

The grunt growls as glitter now covers his face and top half of his uniform.

“Great, now I have to go change and put this in the wash.. thanks..”

Uhhh I know this isn't really a question but- could someone please pet Scrappy for me? That little cat is just so cute!

“When Scrappy first got here, they were terrified of everyone.. well except Pump.”

“I think it’s thanks to Pump being so small that Scrappy warmed up to the group so quickly. That or them realizing they had access to free food.”

Hey Jack, since I tell John the news about his nephews, you will be able to comfort him, after the darkness takes his nephews? If so I will be glad to help you.

“John said he wants us all to leave him alone so we’ve given him space for the time being. I can’t imagine how he feels..”

“I’ll try my best to comfort him, but perhaps what he needs right now is alone time..”

“We’re holding up as best we can.”

“We have all done our part in fortifying our defenses and we sleep in shifts to make sure someone can alert the group to danger.”

“There haven’t been any attacks on the theater yet, and let’s hope it stays that way.”
