Make it happen

The new school year is really close. *EXCITEMENT*  You have another year. Another year FULL OF CHANCES to get to know them better, to discuss your hopes and fears, to make them trust you, to make them love you. It’s a WHOLE NEW FREAKING YEAR. You can do this, you can make it happen. Don’t be afraid to be yourself, don’t think twice before you talk to them. They’re normal people. Like me, like you. They are humans who are able to love other humans. They are humans crying and laughing hard. Don’t be ashamed to share a personal story, tell them the joke you always wanted to. Ask questions, smile back to them, look at them with hearts in your eyes. Don’t be afraid. “Maybe they’ll understand though” Yeah, maybe. But they can never be sure about the way you see them. And it’s not a fucking crime to love a person, even if this person is your teacher, as long as you do it gently without crossing the line. What I’m saying is, TAKE THE CHANCES. Do the things you want because otherwise, when you leave this school you will regret not having tried enough. Even if they never see you romantically, you will gain a friend, a mentor, a person that you can talk to anytime you want. And remember, it’s better to regret about something you’ve done badly than about something you wanted badly but never had the guts to try. Have faith and trust the universe. -M
