Hi🧡 I hope you are doing well:) What do you do to feel feminine when you don’t feel your best?
Hi! I'm fine, thanks for asking! ❤
Well, you don't *have* to feel feminine. You shouldn't feel like it's some sort of duty to be feminine. It should all come naturally. You know, there are times, like you said, when we are not feeling our best and it's perfectly normal to look like a hot mess or an absolute potato sometimes: not having shaved your legs or having your hair in a bun or whatever else doesn't make you less of a woman! As women, we are expected to look glamorous all the time, but that's just humanly impossible. It's exhausting.
If you want to be feminine for other people and it is a burden for you or requires an extra effort, just don't. Be yourself and do whatever makes you feel happy and comfortable.
However, if you detected a lack of femininity in your life and being more feminine would benefit your mental well-being, you could start of by having a little self care day and pamper yourself: go buy yourself some nice stuff, try some hair/facial treatments that require some more time than typical ones, paint your nails, have a long, steamy bath, and while in there, put on some soothing music to relax you, you could even light up some candles or scatter rose petals in the water, or read some passages of classical romance literature. Also, surrounding yourself with female company could help you increase your "feminine energy", so you could try gathering your girls for a night out or a pyjama party.
And last, but not least: you are beautiful and amazing as you are! Never let anyone (including yourself) tell you differently! :)
Take care! XOXO
Hi:) How is your relationship with your tc going? Feel free to vent to us as well💕
Hi there, and thank you for stopping by!
We are doing great, we're happy and healthy, despite the pandermic and everything. Maybe a bit stressed, because this semester became more challenging for us both, but except for that, everything is just fine.
One of the saddest things is knowing you will never be an important person in someone else's life, even if they are the most important one in yours.
I can’t deal with his mood swings anymore. Even his colleagues have expressed that his mood changes like the weather.
Feel you, and I am sorry it affects you...
I don't want to take his side or stuff, but eversince school/uni started, most of us feel the same. Maybe it has to do with the shitty weather, too (if you happen to live in Europe), or just an unusual amount of work, or problems at home.
Just give it some time and try not to take it personally.
hi! im the anon with the not-crush-anymore-but-still-weird-feelings for her now boss. im new to the job and the report from my first week is: oh boy!!! had a zoom meeting with him and a third person. saw him in a casual sweater and had to stop myself from going back to my, frankly rabid, 2019 self and sounding like tender fleabag tumblr ("his neck, his beaituful neck" etc). i dont think im as fun and open as the assistant before me (even though im determined to become a politely flirty office presence) so i hope we will get used to each other and i can stop being so tense whenever i see him. instantly had so much work to do (but its fun in its own way!) and had to face the fact that his work-life-balance is horrifying (emails?? on a saturday?? dont you have three kids, my man???). cant wait for this job will bring further down the line. more insanity, i assume. please excuse this novel of an ask and have a wonderful weekend! 💌
No need to apologize, hun! I am the one who should apologize for taking so much time to answer.
I know this sounds silly, but I used to feel tense around my tc, too, a while back.what helped me loosen up was imagining he was someone close, like a friend with whom I could get comfortable and not worry if I over shared or did something stupid, and it worked.
Hope things will turn out right for the two of you, and you will start feeling less nervous around him.
Take care and stay safe, and feel free to drop as many updates as you feel like! ❤
How to let him know that you really do want to be friends and that he can confide in you? Because I‘ll graduate in a few months and I want him to know that it’s not just friendly chatter between us and that I‘d like to stay in touch
The problem is that there is no miraculous way in letting someone know they can confide in you, like sending some type of "hidden message" that would make then instantly understand what your intentions are. For the time you have left with him, try being present in his classes, while keeping a positive attitude, and when you get the chance to talk outside class (like after class or during office hours, for instance), try taking the conversation a bit outside of the academic context. Make small, but constant steps and don't push things.
Beware that some professors don't allow themselves to befriend students while still teaching them, so you have to check and see whether he is responsive to having friendships with his current students. If not, the solution is to wait till you graduate, and gauge things from there. Truth be told, you might have a higher chance of succeeding that way in befriending him, because you wouldn't have to worry about rules and it would be like a normal interaction.
holy shit good to see this blog is alive and well!!!
Thanks for stopping by and for the kind words, I appreciate it! 💗💗💗
Truth is, I really wish I were more active in the past year, but eversince I started working, I barely had time to post stuff on my blog or answer asks.
I will try being more active in the future, hopefully!
Not trying to be judgy or anything but why can't people under 18 benefit from the same advice as people that already turned 18? Like if it comes from both sides and they are consenting, why not? I mean I know girls who are 16 or 17 and date guys over 25 or older so I don't get why people are so against this kind of relationships
The subject is delicate and has many facets. This is my personal opinion, which is also in concordance with the current laws in most parts of the world. A person under 18 is a MINOR and is more susceptible to being abused by an older person. Even though it might not feel like it at first, this can be due to grooming, to which the older person within the relationship could resort in order to make the younger person feel like it is consensual. However, this doesn't mean that a person who is 18 or slightly over 18 can't be groomed by someone older. Usually, when an underage person has a consenting romantic/sexual relationship with someone over 18, the action is still defined in the legal code with the term of "statutory rape". Basically, an 17 year old having sexual intercourse with an 18 year old is still considered statutory rape by law. However, I do believe that, for a minor, a "general rule" when it comes to dating is that the upper age limit should not exceed the minor's age + 2 years (so for a 16 year old, maximum 18, for an 17 year old, maximum 19).
There were many cases when young, underage girls fell for guys not much older than themselves, who gave them fake promises only to have them trafficked (look up "loverboys"). Even if a few years in minus don't seem to be making a difference, trust me, THEY DO! Just try making a simple mental exercise and think about how you were last year or the year before that, mentally and emotionally. 18 is generally considered the "traditional" age of becoming more mature, but it differs from one individual to the other. So, even if there are some cases where people could be "wise for their years" while still being underage, in the vast majority of situations, not even people over 18 or in their early 20s have reached full maturity, from a reasoning and an emotional point of view.
This is the reason why I am "biased" when giving love advice to people still in high school, in regard to their crushes on their teachers. I don't want any of you to ruin your lives! So stay in school, study hard, and once you graduate, you'll see what there's to do.
I hope my answer covered everything.
Meanwhile, take care and stay safe!
XOXO
How DO you get a man tho?😏
By being genuine, and by that, I mean being honest and straight-forward and very sure on your actions, because men get confused when women give them *subtle* hints. By being a good listener and presenting yourself as a reliable and trustworthy person, because any men, no matter how tough he seems to be, needs someone in whose presence he can be vulnerable, without being judged. By trying not only to be the woman he dates, but also his best friend, and the first person that pops into his mind whenever he needs a helping hand. By making him feel appreciated, and laughing at his jokes (even if they aren't always that great). And most importantly, by being confident and determined and passionate about what you really like, and showing him that your happiness doesn't depend on him, but comes from within.
Thank you for letting us vent✨

Hey:) I‘m the anon that feels like she wasted her adolescence.
I‘m currently 19 years old, so my age isn’t really the issue here. What baffles me the most is how we both know that we really like each other, be it only in a platonic sense, while he can’t really admit it. I would be fine with a platonic friendship too, but he keeps changing his behavior towards me daily and I don’t know how to continue in this situation. The last three years I‘ve caught him staring at least 100 times. He turns red when he speaks to me, always listening with such intensity and appreciation to whatever I say.... And whenever I feel like we could actually get to know each other a bit more he completely avoids me and acts as if I don’t exist. I‘ve moved multiple times and have gotten to know so many different people in my life, but nobody compares to him. I cling to every little fact about him that he mentions in class and I just like him so much. We’re the perfect match in the worst possible timing.
I emphatize with you because, indeed, constant switches in behaviour and mixed signals can become very frustrating. Been there myself. But, even if you're "legal", you're still a student, and as long as he is still teaching you, there is no way he will admit any of these things straight to your face. I ain't no expert, but men do like to tease when they're interested in a woman. However, when the woman falls into the "forbidden" category, they particularly enjoy luring you to the point of driving you crazy, then backing off. Sometimes, it's on purpose, to keep you interested until "better times" arise. Other times, it happens unwillingly, and the whole backing off thing happens when they realize they've gone too far. As I said it before many, many times, wait until you've graduated and see what you can do from that point on. Until then, try to present yourself as a good student, in order to make yourself more visible and stand out of the crowd , and ultimately, to increase the possibility of a relationship, be it platonic or romantic.
P.S. If you're wondering how to "get him" once you've reached that point, the answer is simple: the same way you'd get any other guy! They're still men, regardless of their profession! :)
I'm back! (kinda)
So after a full year of "workin' hard for the money", I finlly have some free time to myself (yay!), and I noticed I got some asks recently, so yeah...
Feel free to spill your guts, vent about your tc, I'm all ears!
Hey, I hope you’re doing well.
At this point I don’t know what to do anymore. I‘ve been in love with him for almost 3 years now, declining every dating offer I‘ve received, only having eyes for him. I feel like I have wasted my adolescence on a man who will never love me the same way that I love him. The mixed signals he sends are driving me insane. One day he looks and talks to me as if he wouldn’t want to be anywhere else and the next day he sits in the opposite corner of his classroom instead of sitting behind his desk right in front of me, completely avoiding me. I‘m terrified of graduating next year since the thought of leaving him behind makes my stomach turn in pain.
Hey! I'm doing fine, hope you are, too!
I hope my answer doesn't come off as bland, but I believe that at this very moment, there's nothing you could really do, besides making yourself noticeable as a good student and behaving well in his class. I'm saying this because you mentioned that you've waisted your adolescence on him, so I assume you're still in highscool. Even if you graduated, you might still be underage by that time, so I wouldn't really advise you to take a chance until you turn 18. I am sure that you are very mature for your age, but laws are still there and both of you might get in trouble.
All I'm saying is: you don't have to feel bad for the way you feel about him. It's normal, it happens to all of us to be completely smitten over someone. And even if he does feel something for you, you know he couldn't act on it (see above why). I dealt with the same things (having eyes for him only, feeling like he is driving you insane with signs you don't know how to interpret ) and honestly, I preferred feeling love (regardless of it being mutual) than letting my youth pass by without being truly in love with someone.
You don't have to be pessimistic about losing him either. If you make yourself noticeable enough as a student and show interest in what he is teaching, you have all the chances to "qualify" for asking him by the time you graduate whether he wants to keep in touch or grab a coffee or something. Asking for recommendations and extra aid with certain "issues" really helps to create a tighter bond, because in 1-to-1 interactions, you can squeeze bits of his personal life and get to know him outside his teacher persona.
If you need more advice or want to give more detail on your situation, my askbox/dm are always open, so feel free to drop by anytime!
Take care and stay safe!
XOXO
hi! a while back i had a crush (?) on this prof. he still means a lot to me, which can be a little inconvenient (for example, when he doesnt reply to any emails and i feel like he dislikes me when he is probably just busy and scatterbrained... sigh!). but! im going to work for him as a student assistant in the fall! part of me is excited at the prospect of a first name basis and another part is a little worried that i might still be weird around him. there is no point to this ask, i just wanted to share. hope you are well 💌
Hey, anon! I'm good, hope you're, too! I am glad you got it off your chest, so no need to apologize for it. I don't think you should worry that much because, as you said "he is probably just busy and scatterbrained" and we are looking too much into stuff when we're into someone. Just try taking things as they are and try not to worry that much. If you will work with him, it means that you are the right person in their eyes for the job, so no need to strees out that much. Sure, working together could feel challenging at times, but it will make you feel more relaxed around him in time. Trust me, been there (still am actually).
Take care and if anything happens, you can drop by with an update! Good luck and stay safe always! XOXO
Hi:) How are you doing?
I wanted to ask you how long it took for you guys to hug each other for the first time. Because my tc and I are kind of in the midst of this weird stage in which we never know how to greet each other.
Hey! I apologize for the belated answer, but for the past year or so, eversince I started working, I mainly used this app only to keep in touch with my friends.
Now, to answer your question: in the academical environment where I "grew" as a student (and am currently teaching) professors are not allowed to have physical contact with students other than on a professional level (hand shakes, for instance).
However, during my 4th year (by then, I already knew my tc for about 1 year and took 3 semesters with him), I went to office hours on my birthday and handed him a box of chocolate (it's a common practice where I live). After he wished me a "happy birthday" and such, I asked if we could hug, and he agreed. It was short, with a pat on the back, and tbh, we both felt a bit uncomfortable. Now, almost 3 years later, we incorporated hugs in our daily greetings, and they feel more natural.
This hugging thing depends on many aspects, such as your school/university rules, cultural background, level of closeness with your tc and so on.
Personally, I suggest not to rush into physical contact, as it will come naturally when the right moment arises. However, if you are really willing to do it and don't want to feel silly if you initiate it and they do not reciprocate, you could simply ask, just as I did.
Hope my answer was helpful!
Take care and stay safe, and if you feel like it, you can drop by with an update!
Something like that
