heyy do you have any action adventure anime recs with female main characters?

you bet i do hehe

tried to stay away from ones where they lean toward another major genre but adventure goes pretty hand-in-hand with a couple things…

1. Violet Evergarden

some might not consider this traditionally “adventure” but since it has fantasy/wartime elements to it i personally consider it as fitting the category, and the animation is wonderful while the story is very emotionally complex

2. Fairy Tail

okay people might give me shit for this one but YES Lucy is the main character and YES this is one of my comfort fantasy/adventure series, the series is long but if you get through it you’ll see amazing growth in Lucy as a character

3. Fena Pirate Princess

this one is very interesting and something i thought was very unique for an adventure-type series. i also really love the character designs and relationship dynamics, as well as the soundtrack

4. Dororo

we have the titular Dororo herself as a main character in this one, and the story is top notch imo—very easy to get absorbed in

5. Inuyasha

a classic, obviously i had to include it. (ik a lot of these are historical but it’s Japanese animation what do you expect.) anyway, this is another childhood fav of mine. i think Kagome and Sango are great female leads

6. Akatsuki no Yona

this is one of the all-time best historical adventure series, and Yona is probably my favorite female MC of all time. this is the embodiment of feminism right here ladies 👏

7. Akagami no Shirayuki-hime

this is more of a fantasy/adventure, but once again, we have a badass independent female lead, and while it has a lot of romance it’s nothing overplayed or tacky—little to no damsel-in-distress BS

8. BNA (Brand New Animal)

this was one of my favorite series last year. the main character Michiru is spunky and hilarious, and the rest of the characters are so easy to love. the art style is one of my personal favorites—really serves Promare vibes

9. Tenkū Shinpan

this one’s a little wacky and has a bit of a sci-fi element, but i love the female characters—especially the bond between the two main girls, Yuri and Mayuko. love to see women adapting to a bloodthirsty environment and becoming girl bosses

10. Jujutsu Kaisen

although this is primarily a supernatural shōnen, i wanted to give it an honorable mention because of two key incredible female characters: Maki and Nobara. i think all characters—but especially these two—are written exquisitely, and the animation is *chefs kiss*

If I had to pick a reason why people latched on to c!Tommy as much as they did I would say it is the hope and innocence that was evoked from his perspective (and that the man literally uploaded all his perspectives for easy rewatching).

Tommy's character is in turns tragic as he is hopeful by a purely driven innocence based on compassion and wanting to connect and be around people. No matter who it was that shared the screen with him there was always the will to work together with them, spend some time and maybe even forgive and trust. Something that during the pandemic and even after that was so hard for people to do.

He played the kinda guy that suffered and was left alone SO much that when given the opportunity to turn to a person he would. While at the same time upholding a good judge of character, growing by his own and walking by his ideals as much he could.

He suffered so much and is ready to give and fight for his friends, denies that Jack deliberately wanted to hurt him because that would mean on more person that he couldn't turn to, he still cared about Jack even if he was shit at showing it, checks on Tubbo and asks if Ranboo makes him happy, never telling Ranboo how he feels but defending him against Wilbur and taking him on adventures, asking to see his friends on Christmas, making a beach party for them, giving up his discs, dancing with Wilbur, being mad at him post revival but still protecting him from mobs.

I just find this loud Minecraft Roleplay OC so incredibly charming in the way that there is so much kindness, energy and love to give but not to the expense of strength and personal development. C!Tommy may be reduced to a traumatised character at the moment but that doesn't stop him from being so unbelievable hopeful to me and many others when we were stuck at home fearing for our lives while the government burns around us and people are screaming. Be kind, make friends, find joy and a reason to keep going. And be mad and loud but always find compassion in the people that try to be better by you.

Or maybe it's just me. Who knows.

Here's the digital of Technoblade!! I didn't change as much from the first drawing, but I think I did pretty well. The next ones will hopefully be the dream team! Its a little hazy and that with my handwriting might make it hard to read. If you need to be able to read it I can add the text another time.

This is the digital philza!! I have some info on the side about his ability, there will be more in the story and in other things like this. Hopefully this will be how each of the digitals go, with the main drawing and some info about their power. I did this before bed so I hope it actually looks good and not be thinking it looks good in my 1 am haze.
