Background: Surgeon from Crabapple Cove, Maine. Drafted into the Korean War, he hates the army. Currently the senior member of the 4077th MASH, having been stationed there the longest.

Background: Surgeon from Boston Massachusetts, he was drafted into the Korean War. Developed an extraordinarily close relationship with hawkeye, before getting his orders to go back stateside. With much regret the only message he leaves for hawkeye is a kiss through the company clerk. They never got to see eachother off.

He meets Hawkeye soon after landing, and they become quick friends. They're attatched at the waist, borderline codependent, and BJ doesnt know how he would've handled life in Korea if he hadn't met Hawkeye.

(If I take this too far, do tell me. I dont intend to play into this much if at all, I just wanted to put the warning up. Please tell me if I write somthing I shouldnt, I struggle with knowing when to stop occasionally. This probobly wont be an issue, but the possibility is worth warning for I think)

A very MASHy christmas

Timeloop AU cross-fandom RP prompt

(None of those words^ are in the bible 😭)

It was Hawkeyes fourth Christmas in this three year war, and he still hadnt gotten used to the cold. Luckily there wasnt much wind today so he only had to worry about the snow, and having grown up in Maine, that was perfectly fine with him.

Hawkeye walks down the camp, making tracks as he continues to walk the same path over and over. He could always just go inside where its warm, but somthing made him feel the need to be outside, to be moving. He felt like he might burst if he didn't keep moving.

As the man is lost in thought, he bumps into...nothing. He rubs his forehead and stares at the air infront of him. He reaches out to touch it- nothing there. Hawkeye looks around in confusion, before spotting a patch of snow melting. He walks up to it, crouches down and touches it. He yanks his hand back and hisses- its boiling. Now he's a bit more than just confused.

He remembers the words from an old friend- "Reality is up for grabs" - and frowns at the memory. Before he can linger on the thought for too long, he hears a thud behind him. He quickly stands up and whips around to see a stranger on the ground, looking like they've fallen off of somthing, despite there being nothing near by to fall from.

Hawkeye approaches, and offers a hand. "You alright?"

The man blinked for a moment, the light given off by his pure white eyes softening before glowing harshly again as he stood up, not taking the hand offered. He was abnormally tall, of course, and the heeled boots made it worse, there was something massively off about him. He patted some "snow" off himself.

"Ja, ja, now, mein freund, where is here?" He questions, his english carrying a heavy german accent while his words were laced with an odd robotic feeling, like a well tuned vocaloid. There is a formal feeling to him, powerful, and vaguely military.

Tanzt had somehow ended up here after a series of unfortunate events back in his city, but nothing he'd like to speak about, after all it was quite embarrassing. Yet he still stands there, tall, his white eyes staring down at Hawkeye as he adjusted his hat, a hint of nervousness in the man's smile.

Hawkeye stares up at the man, mouth agape. "It, uh..." he trails off, unable to quite comprehend whatever it is infront of him. "A MASH unit, sir. We're doctors" he adds the last part as if its a defense against somthing

"Arzt, okay, arzt. Is that of use to me? Ich glaube, can you help with this?" He asks before slightly moving the right side of the massive heavy looking trench out of the way, visible, is a decently sized pierce wound from being stabbed by a metal pole. The "blood" is a violet tone, even with this whole situation, the man doesn't seem to be in pain, he blinks.

"I won't force you to if you believe you can't. I think I should be fine." He then just kind of, stands there, looking around again. There's a gentle whirr coming from him, his mechanical parts trying to keep everything working. There is something deeply wrong with this man, machine? Whatever it is.

Hawkeye stares at the creature, two seconds from passing out due to shock. He makes a note to himself to make sure the still isnt broken.

"Yeah, uhm...Its usually best to keep it in to stop...blood flow? I dont know if we have, uhm...The right parts to...I mean you could check the motor pool" he scratches the back of his head

"Are you, uhm...I mean...Whats your side of the war? Are you with the- the UN, or...Are you uh...I mean I'll surrender if-" the lanky man cant seem to get his foot out of his mouth

Tanzt was about to say something, then he stopped himself at the comment about the war, he then starts muttering things, crossing his arms before just straight up going. "Mein freund, In what year are we? I believe I may be from a different time frame." He huhs.

Being from the future makes a couple things make a bit more sense, from his appearance to his odd way of just, existing. "Uhm, well, well, i'm- meine Manieren- Future or not i am Der Tanzdiktator, president of the great Tanzstadt. Schön, dich kennenzulernen?" He smiles a mildly nervous smile before offering his hand for a handshake.

He seems just as confused as Hawkeye, maybe a bit more composed but just as confused.

"Uhh..." He shakes the mans hand. "Its...1952, sir. Or, mr president?" Hawkeye smiles as though he's just attempted to crack a joke despite everything about him screaming discomfort.

Tanz's hold was strong during the handshake, until the moment where he was told what year it was, he just stood there before retreating his hand and using it to cover his mouth, he was so damn SHOCKED the light coming off from his eyes got duller.

He blinked himself back to reality before speaking again. "I see then, I hail from the year 37XX, so you may find why this is quite.. Different to me." He chuckles before putting two of his fingers on one of the earpieces on his head, pressing it, he mutters something in german into it, he stays quiet, before going.

"Well, would it be rude or intrusive to ask you to show me around? I truly never thought I'd get to see the world before the Silent Expanse existed" Tanz lets out a laugh, his mechanical voice feeling a bit more human.

"37- HA!" A laugh bursts out of the man. He looks gleeful now, the discomfort giving way to mania in his brains way of defense. "Sure, sure, I'll show you around. I have to say this sure is a horrible place to have landed for a tour, but we have a lovley little bunch here and we'll to our best to make you feel at home." The man looks far younger when he grins, a metaphorical light in his eyes as opposed to the others literal glow.

"So tell me, whats this silent somthing somthing?" he says as he begins to walk, making a 'follow me' gesture with his hand. "Or, actually scratch that, what do you know about medicine?"

"Oh, I suppose I know a lot! But I think I would specialize in machinery and not medicine, creating a faux human through the form of advanced AI and metal is more engineering, right?. I do have a great amount of medical training though, only reason I can't fix.. this is because I dont have anything on me to fix it with"

Tanz's accent softens a bit but its still hard to understand him, specially when he speaks quicker, the whole mechanical aspect to his voice is the primary cause of this struggle. He's doing his best to avoid any contact on the area where he got stabbed by a small metal pipe though, shown via the way he holds his trench out of the way.

"I truly wouldn't mind talking about The Silent Expanse though, only reason for that is because it'd give me an excuse to mention my Great Tanzstadt" He chuckles, okay so the Tanzstadt thing is probably his country he is the president of, makes sense he'd be prideful about it.

"You can tell me all about it and I'll show you over to the motor pool. It's not much but it's most of the mechanics we got" He smiles and leads the strange mechanical man through the snowy camp. "Then again im sure it's practically prehistoric compared to whatever you're used to. It's hardly even modern by our own standards, ha! Can't even get technicolor on the projector half the time."

"Oh worry not, I can do wonders with very minimal or old equipment! Though I do wonder what these pieces are like.." He follows curiously before continuing to talk. "The Silent Expanse is a continent, the aftermath of a massive bombing that destroyed the old continent of America and Europe alongside any countries between them. It was caused by an Anti-Matter bomb, so it sent to scheiße all the territory around it including the oceans."

Tanzt chuckles after he finishes that bit of commentary, he then continues. "During 35xx though, people that lived closer to the edges of the water and further from what we call "The Silence" started going as far as they could and creating defenses against it. And not long after, Die Tanzstadt would be born as a beacon of light to be seen through the darkness that the Silence caused."

"Of course, it took a while before it got to its current greatness, but Leon Schneider, its original founder, did a great job at putting together the inner circle of the city, our great Capital!" Tanzt speaks with such pride it just shows off his passion for the city and its history. "The silent expanse is entirely quiet, the closer to it's core you get, the less sound there is, not even your own body can be heard."

"A man once went in to record his findings, they say he went blind after seeing the core with his own eyes, and that when he returned he would only realize he had gone back to civilization after people held him. He was entirely unable to visualize things in his head now, and he couldnt hear a single thing. Truly horrific I can only imagine" His tone betrays him, as if he thinks that the man was stupid and weak for ending up like that.

Hawkeye just stares at him, pale faced, only understanding about every other word and being horrified at the rest.

"...Here's the motor pool" he gestures his hand out to the small junk yard esque Jeep stop.

Tanz just looked normal despite having talked about the end of an entire continent and countries, and then he was met with their motor pool. He cooed quietly at the pieces he saw, going around to pick up parts and look at them. He looked completely different now, like a kid in a candy store. "Oh I've read about parts of these types! Never thought I'd get to see them."

Tanzt just picks up parts and pieces mostly to fuck around and find out what they do or how they'd fit into a full machine, never taking them far from where he found them. Eventually he just stays where he was, seemingly struggling to move. The emotion and excitement about seeing so many parts he'd only ever read about was quickly taken away by something.

You remember the metal pipe stabbed into his side, yes? Yeah that's just gone deeper. Tanzt is muttering swears in german to himself, barely understandable as he switches his focus to his wound again. "Are- Are you sure you can't help with this mein freund?" He struggles to call out, his voice more mechanical than before.

"If- Well if it'd help- This part of me is made similarly to an- an actual person so it's not that different from- from a human." There it is, Tanzt isn't made of entirely metal, parts of his body are made of skin still, its the only reason to why he actually managed to get stabbed by something

"Gotcha" Hawkeye says, quickly moving to action. He runs over to a jeep and grabs a med pack from it and runs back over. "Alright, I'll do what I can here. I'll need you to lay down, then im going to take it out and patch you up. We dont have enough time for anything fancy, or any pain relief, because we dont have whatever type of blood you need. I'll have to be fast." Hawkeye talks fast and clinical, an entierly serious demeanor compared to the confused, manic, and terrified faces he'd so quickly changed between so far.

"37- HA!" A laugh bursts out of the man. He looks gleeful now, the discomfort giving way to mania in his brains way of defense. "Sure, sure, I'll show you around. I have to say this sure is a horrible place to have landed for a tour, but we have a lovley little bunch here and we'll to our best to make you feel at home." The man looks far younger when he grins, a metaphorical light in his eyes as opposed to the others literal glow.

"So tell me, whats this silent somthing somthing?" he says as he begins to walk, making a 'follow me' gesture with his hand. "Or, actually scratch that, what do you know about medicine?"

"Oh, I suppose I know a lot! But I think I would specialize in machinery and not medicine, creating a faux human through the form of advanced AI and metal is more engineering, right?. I do have a great amount of medical training though, only reason I can't fix.. this is because I dont have anything on me to fix it with"

Tanz's accent softens a bit but its still hard to understand him, specially when he speaks quicker, the whole mechanical aspect to his voice is the primary cause of this struggle. He's doing his best to avoid any contact on the area where he got stabbed by a small metal pipe though, shown via the way he holds his trench out of the way.

"I truly wouldn't mind talking about The Silent Expanse though, only reason for that is because it'd give me an excuse to mention my Great Tanzstadt" He chuckles, okay so the Tanzstadt thing is probably his country he is the president of, makes sense he'd be prideful about it.

"Then again im sure it's practically prehistoric compared to whatever you're used to. It's hardly even modern by our own standards, ha! Can't even get technicolor on the projector half the time."

It was Hawkeyes fourth Christmas in this three year war, and he still hadnt gotten used to the cold. Luckily there wasnt much wind today so he only had to worry about the snow, and having grown up in Maine, that was perfectly fine with him.

Hawkeye walks down the camp, making tracks as he continues to walk the same path over and over. He could always just go inside where its warm, but somthing made him feel the need to be outside, to be moving. He felt like he might burst if he didn't keep moving.

As the man is lost in thought, he bumps into...nothing. He rubs his forehead and stares at the air infront of him. He reaches out to touch it- nothing there. Hawkeye looks around in confusion, before spotting a patch of snow melting. He walks up to it, crouches down and touches it. He yanks his hand back and hisses- its boiling. Now he's a bit more than just confused.

He remembers the words from an old friend- "Reality is up for grabs" - and frowns at the memory. Before he can linger on the thought for too long, he hears a thud behind him. He quickly stands up and whips around to see a stranger on the ground, looking like they've fallen off of somthing, despite there being nothing near by to fall from.

Hawkeye approaches, and offers a hand. "You alright?"

He was abnormally tall, of course, and the heeled boots made it worse, there was something massively off about him. He patted some "snow" off himself.

"Ja, ja, now, mein freund, where is here?" He questions, his english carrying a heavy german accent while his words were laced with an odd robotic feeling, like a well tuned vocaloid. There is a formal feeling to him, powerful, and vaguely military.

Tanzt had somehow ended up here after a series of unfortunate events back in his city, but nothing he'd like to speak about, after all it was quite embarrassing. Yet he still stands there, tall, his white eyes staring down at Hawkeye as he adjusted his hat, a hint of nervousness in the man's smile.

Hawkeye stares up at the man, mouth agape. "It, uh..." he trails off, unable to quite comprehend whatever it is infront of him. "A MASH unit, sir. We're doctors" he adds the last part as if its a defense against somthing

He asks before slightly moving the right side of the massive heavy looking trench out of the way, visible, is a decently sized pierce wound from being stabbed by a metal pole. The "blood" is a violet tone, even with this whole situation, the man doesn't seem to be in pain, he blinks.

"I won't force you to if you believe you can't. I think I should be fine." He then just kind of, stands there, looking around again. There's a gentle whirr coming from him, his mechanical parts trying to keep everything working. There is something deeply wrong with this man, machine? Whatever it is.

"Yeah, uhm...Its usually best to keep it in to stop...blood flow? I dont know if we have, uhm...The right parts to...I mean you could check the motor pool" he scratches the back of his head

"Are you, uhm...I mean...Whats your side of the war? Are you with the- the UN, or...Are you uh...I mean I'll surrender if-" the lanky man cant seem to get his foot out of his mouth

The woman on the ground is rubbing her head, glancing around in alarm and confusion as she doesn't recognize the place she's landed in. Nor is she even sure how she landed in the first place - she swore she was just walking down a normal path a few seconds ago. At the sound of Hawkeye's voice, she looks up, startled.

"Um…" After a moment of hesitance, she accepts his hand, letting him help her up. "Yes, I think so."

She was bundled up in a thick winter coat, blond curls springing out from underneath her thick wooly hat and framing her face. She uses her mitts to brush off the snow and dirt off her clothes, wincing at the stains they leave behind.

"I didn't bump into you, did I? Sorry, I'm not sure….well, to be honest! I'm not really sure how I ended up here. That sounds crazy, doesn't it?"
