I need opinions regarding a plot point in a mash fic im writing so I’m opening it up to a poll

Let’s say that the war ends, everyone goes home and back to their own lives, and Hawkeye and BJ slowly drift apart. Five years go by and they’re down to a couple of short letters a year. But then BJ gets a phone call saying that Hawkeye needs help for whatever reason (I’m gonna be vague here bc I don’t wanna spoil the fic) and flies across the country to surprise Hawk. He knocks on Hawkeye’s door and some random man answers. The man introduces himself as John McIntyre.

Does BJ immediately recognize the name as being Trapper’s?

Yes, immediately.

No, the name doesn’t ring a bell.

The name sounds familiar but it’s so out of context that he can’t place it.
