Spot-fixing suspects to be made to watch Jhumping Jhapaak till they confess
In a fresh bout of brutality, the Delhi Police has unveiled their latest inhuman tactic â the suspects of spot-fixing will be made to watch Jhumping Jhapaak for hours, till they finally can take no more, break down, and confess.
âItâs a devious scheme and cannot fail. The average cricket viewer cannot go 10 seconds without wanting to either poke their ears deaf, or change the channel once the horror of a song is on.â, said a senior member of the Delhi Police Force.
This new idea of torture-till-confess, believes the police, will save much time and energy, not to mention costs. âOur idiot cops went and read Harry Potter â and spent the next 5 months trying to formulate Veritaserumâ, lamented the cop.
The SET MAX team is not amused. âHey, this was supposed to be our promotional campaign. People were supposed to love it and it was supposed to be the anthem of the nation. When did it start becoming a torture device?â, bellowed a SET MAX executive, who was then told that he just described every Himesh Reshammiya song ever.
Ankeet Chavan, who was granted bail for his wedding, was already shivering in fright. âIâve never heard the song but my friends â including Jack (Hehe. Wink wink) tell me itâs the worst ever possible way to string musical notes together. Plus, I hear Samir Kochchar and Gaurav Kapoor are dancing. Surely, there cannot be a worse and more embarrassing sight in cricket?â, he said, clearly unaware of Saurav Gangulyâs shirt-twirling at Lordâs, which had an entire nation collectively celebrate and facepalm at the same time.

It appears being made to watch the IPL horror song is not the only means of torture that was devised. Other brutal methods of worming the truth out of straying cricketers were also shortlisted. Sportskeeda has managed to unearth the facts for you:
1. Being forced to have lunch with both Danny Morrison and Ravi Shastri.
2. Being forced to be seen in public in a Pune Warriors XI jersey.
3. Sitting in Navjot Sidhuâs tie wardrobe without eye protection.
4. Watching Rochelle Rao and Samir Kochchar do the Zumi Zumi dance.
5. Be âWilliam Tellâ target practice for Chris Gayle. Apple on head, Gayle trying to knock it off.
6. Look at Ravindra Jadejaâs moustache without laughing.
Incidentally, âshare a room with Sreesanthâ was another shortlisted torture method that the police had drawn up. âHaha, ironic, isnât it?â, cooed the police officer gleefully, looking at an increasingly nervous-looking Chandila.

England can't help talking about Ashes: Ponting
It is quite evident that the England team is beyond excited about the upcoming Ashes series, just having completed a 2-0 victory against New Zealand in Leeds on 28th May.
Former Australian captain Ricky Ponting said that there was no way that they could skip around the topic of the Ashes series as both Australia and England have attached a high level of prestige and importance to the series, which is cricketâs oldest Test contest.
âItâs inevitable itâs going to come up. I donât think thereâs anything wrong with it,â said Ponting who will, unfortunately, be missing the Ashes this time as he has retired from the international cricket.
Ponting believes that Australia captain Michael Clarke and coach Mickey Arthur will also discuss the Ashes well before the first Test against England begins at Nottinghamâs Trent Bridge ground in July.
ââThe Australian team will be saying the same thing â but I guarantee at different times during the Champions Trophy, Mickey and Michael will be talking about Ashes cricket at some stageâ, he added.
Both the English and Australian cricket teams are set to face each other in next monthâs Champions Trophy ahead of the Ashes series.
While the retirements of Ponting and Michael Hussey have left holes in Australiaâs batting line up, a group of new fast bowlers, including rising stars James Pattinson and Mitchell Starc, are expected to carry forward the weight of the team
