Lune had been minding her own damn business. She had been wandering the halls. She felt this surge of electricity run through her body. Lune stopped in her tracks and shook her head a bit. Her brown hair was now blood and curly, sticking up in every direction. Her eyes now an electric yellow instead of their usual dark brown.

She started to freak out because she didn’t like this feeling and because she started to freak out she started getting zappy.

Lune’s hair had grown astonishingly long over the past year, thick curls cascading all the way down to the backs of her thighs. The dark strands bounced with every little movement she made as she sat cross-legged on the floor, surrounded by scraps of colored paper, glitter, and half-finished arts and crafts projects. A pair of scissors rested loosely in her hand while she focused on cutting shapes from construction paper.

Then her attention drifted.

Slowly, her gaze shifted from the scissors to the heavy curtain of curls pooled beside her. The scissors paused midair. A curious expression crossed her face, eyes narrowing slightly as though some dangerous little idea had just sparked to life in her head. She lifted a thick lock of hair between her fingers, studying it carefully. For a moment, she hesitated.

The sound was soft but unmistakable. A large curl slipped free and fluttered into her lap, while the shortened strand sprang upward unevenly. Lune stared at the chunk of hair she’d cut off, almost fascinated by what she’d done.

Nero's been busy with a lot of things recently. He hadn't talked to the kids in... a little bit, and he felt bad about it. He didn't know why that was, after all, he was supposed to be this cruel and merciless man, and now he's feeling bad because he hasn't talked to the kids that calll him papa? Weird. But alright. He made his way over to the room Lune was staying in, just in time to see her cut her hair. He stood frozen in the door for a moment, before rushing up to the girl and grabbing the scissors from her hand. "Good gods, kid- be careful with those."

Lune looked up at Nero with wide, curious eyes, her head tilting slightly to the side as soft curls framed her face, a few pieces of hair stuck straight up from where she cut it. It was very noticeable. Tiny fingers held up the strand she’d just cut, the severed lock dangling between them as she examined it with complete fascination rather than guilt. Her brows furrowed in concentration, staring between the scissors and the piece of hair like she was trying to solve some sort mystery.

“Pater,” she asked quietly, lifting the strand a little higher for him to see, “why it do that?”

But it can't be that difficult, right? He just needs to make the cut piece not stand out as much. "Come on, let's go give you a haircut."

Nero was working, as he does, when he heard a knock on his door and a small voice calling out to what he could only assume was him, and he only knew one person who would call him 'pater'. He stood up and opened the door to see Lune, shivering and soaked from head to toe. "Oh, child..." The emperor leaned down and picked her up, bringing her to the bathroom and giving her a towel there to help her get dry again.

Lune hugged the Emperors legs as she was given the towel. She sniffled because her nose was running from being so cold. Lune nuzzled her face into his leg. “Pater it’s so cold..” lune shivered.

"I know." He kneeled next to the girl, rubbing her with the towel to at least try and get her to stop shivering. "I'll get you some new clothes so we can wash these. There's blankets in your room, we'll go there once you're dry."

"Dry yourself off." Nero said as he stood up and walked to Lune's room, to pick out some new clothes for her. He grabbed some warm fuzzy pants, and a sweater, then headed back to the bathroom and watched the little girl. "Once you're dry, put these on. Then we'll get you under a blanket."

Lune immediately got to work on a piece of paper. Drawing something that to her closely resembled Jasper. She the pointed to it and looked at Nero. “That’s the man you keep in that room!” Lune said happily
