Now we ask the questions - journalists at the first Quality Control session at ACUD were asked to listen to 2 unfinished(?) tracks and write their impressions.

November is the best time time to make albums in Berlin. All through November, Young Fathers will be in residence, recording the follow up album to the Mercury-nominated DEAD, in Berlin. PLOT27 is the name of the residence. Every week a work list will be posted online and pinned to a notice board. A clock will be installed. Attendance will be recorded. The recordings will take place amid a fevered creative environment. All the elements of a modern pop recording release operation will be formulated: artwork, videos and photographs. Every week they will invite a select group of people for 'Quality Control' previews, based on the famous weekly Motown meetings when tracks were chosen for release or production. They will be invited to eat dinner with the group and cast their opinions and votes after listening to the week's new recordings. By the end of November all the parts of the album will be ready to be fitted together for release on Big Dada in the first months of 2015. An intense work schedule in a challenging environment should produce interesting results. They expect it to be hard work, cold and hot. There will be arguments and much bass. Young Fathers aren't afraid. They promise there will be no cold war, barbed wire or smack.
