So a pookie of mine (@lili-divine-artist) got me back into professor layton. And the fellas that keep catching my eye, despite the fact I kinda dont like them, is Desmond and Descole. Desmond is so odd looking that he turns out fun to draw. Descole just makes me think of tuxedo mask and i like the flourish he has.

I think I am finally throwing in the towel for nwos having 2d cut scenes, but my maybe controversial opinion here is that... I think that lowk the 3d ones do look kinda awesome

Ive always kinda said that MM was on the right track with using mocap for scenes where they couldn't spare the (presumed) budget for a 2d cutscene, but still needing something to communicate the tension more than just text boxes and characters looping their talk sprite animations
