I haven’t been here in years but due to what happened I just needed to say something. Chester was and forever will be my hero. To see him speaking so bravely about the sexual abuse he suffered when as a child helped me cope with mine. How he openly talked about his struggles made me be brave too. The music he created with Linkin Park got me through so much, only I know how dear Breaking The Habit and No Roads Left are to me. I knew One More Light was an end somehow but I never imagined that it would be like this, I’m grateful I had the opportunity to fully enjoy this beautiful album like it deserves because it touched me in ways I didn't expect to. The amazing person that man was will forever be on my mind and most important in my heart. I’ve had the pleasure of being his fan since I got into music and loved all his projects til’ Grey Daze, so thank you Chester, for being an inspiration and a light in my life for so long, thank you sincerely.
And please, take mental health issues seriously. Depression is an disease that is so agonizing, corrosive and silent that takes away the natural desire that is to live, take it serious and if you are suffering please say it! Your feelings are valid and there's people that can help you don't have to go through it alone, so please reach out to get help if you need to. And if you're angry, and you should be, it's not fair just 'cause you can't see it, doesn't mean it isn't there.
“When my time comes Forget the wrong that I've done Help me leave behind some reasons to be missed And don't resent me And when you're feeling empty Keep me in your memory Leave out all the rest Leave out all the rest.”
I will Chester.
