JOINT TESTER

Plugs is mainly for block and stop the flow in the pipes temporarily. They can be used for pipeline leakage testing. Also, leakage test can be done with joint tester. Joint tester has wheels and adjustment bolts to easily locate and center the plug at the joint location.

Joint test plugs are testing joint parts of two pipes. Section of these two pipes is prevent against to flow by joint tester and leak test using minimum water or air can be applied. When Joint Tester use for leakage test, amount of using water and test time reduce significantly. Because Joint Tester is testing limited area. Generally, Joint Tester can use any sizes for between 350 mm up to 3000 mm diameter with 2,5 bar up to 10 bar inflation pressure. Joint Tester is single size, not multi size. Its length can change according to request. For getting the best result, have to choose suitable product. How can we choose suitable product? We have to know internal pipe diameter and joint length. On the other hand, we should determine the test method. Is it water or air? And then, we have to check the required test pressure as per project standard. With all this information we can choose the best product.

Plugs are stopper which make block the flow temporarily. They can show different features according to application area and type of flow. Plugs can divide into two type according to application area such as leakage test and purge welding. Pipe Plug, Pipe Test, Plug, Conical Plug, Gas (Nitrile Rubber) Test Plug etc. can use for leakage test and repairing while Welding Purge Plug, Double Seal Purge Plug, Efficient Double Welding Plug and Heat Resistant Double Purge Plug can use for purge welding. Also, plugs can show different features between ones which are using for leakage test. For example, Pipe Plug and Conical Plug have different features such as shape.

Pipe Plug can use for cylindrical pipe while Conical Plug can use different shape profiles such as egg-shaped, rectangular channel etc. Also Pipe Plug can use up to 2000 mm diameter while Conical Plug can use bigger than 2000 mm diameter. Conical Plug has smaller deflated diameter than Pipe Plug. So that, Conical Plug can be tightly folded and fitted in the pipe. Sometimes Pipe Plug can require an additional bracing. However Conical Plug do not require any additional bracing. Conical Plug are highly age-resistant and they can easily repairable. On the other hand, Conical Plug is more expensive than Pipe Plug.
