Spooky.
Mad Max is so real.
Here is the final episode of Skateboard Cop. 12 months ago, davidseger asked us to spin off waderandolph's character from his show. We assumed it would be a ridiculous one-off episode and that would be the end of it. 9 episodes later, we decided to end it as weirdly as it began. Thank you to everyone who acted, crewed, and helped out on this show over the last year. Hanging out with everyone and making the show was one of my favorite things. kelsyabbott
Wade, Kelsy, and I have made 9 episodes of Skateboard Cop. It's always a lot of fun, or at least kind of fun. It's never sucked making an episode of this show.
After nearly a year of making this show, these are our 'rules' that have emerged.
Write it while drunk or at least buzzed. Industry standard, so we adhere.
Shoot it while drunk or at least buzzed. Wade would be drunk anyway, so I join him. I can't really tell when Kelsy is drunk, so I assume "always". This gives our show its flavor. It's our secret sauce.
Shoot it in one day. I think most of our shoots clock in at around 6-7 hours.
Shoot it in one location. Yeah, maybe it all ends up feeling a little bit "samey" but when you're drunk-ish, it's easier to not have to drive. Also, we're kind of lazy. If there has to be a 2nd location it's usually my loft, so it only counts as 1 location for me.
Spend way too much time editing it. Our longest rough cut was like 9 minutes long one month so we have to lose a lot of funny stuff to get it down to 5 minutes while making sense.
It looks like episode 10 will be the last one we make. It's going to be a heart wrenching 35 minute finale, so we'll probably end up breaking a couple of these rules.
Finally got around the starting that boy band we've always talked about.
