His plans for a fun and (hopefully) uneventful summer came to a halt, however, when a very insistent Tony Stark appeared at his apartment, asking for his help. Tony Stark didn't understand how some summer camp could be more important than saving the world. He does know one thing, however: Peter Parker is hiding something. And it's not his superhero persona. While Peter struggles to keep his two worlds separate, Tony strives to get to the bottom of the mystery that is Peter Parker.

SHIELD is in shambles, the Avengers Initiative has gone to shit. There's nobody to stop them. Their hit list isn't changing, either. The Avengers, or former Avengers, are still at the top. And you? You're the easiest to find.”

Tony rolled his eyes. “Yeah, no shit. I can handle myself. Besides, what are you going to do? I wouldn't trust a single one of your agents, and I very much doubt you are going to stick around here yourself.”

Fury nodded. “True. I have things I need to do, as do you. You can't afford to be focusing on weeding out Hydra.” Tony didn't trust that agreeable tone. “But, I have someone who can.”

There it was.

He pulled the folder onto his knee, and cracked it open. A picture was paperclipped to the front, and a name sat at the top in dark, neat letters.

Percy and Bucky showed up dressed as Morticia and Gomez Addams—Bucky in an immaculately tailored suit with a sword by his side, and Percy in a high-necked black shirt and long black skirt, regrettably reporting that he didn’t have the cleavage for the dress.

They mean so much you have no idea, they're so feral for each other, to a level I can only dream to achieve.

“Go kiss your boyfriend.” She snapped under her breath as she passed by on her way to the kitchen.  “You know what? I think I will. Excuse me.” He stood up, ignoring her horrified look, and walked right over to where Percy was speaking with Tony, draping himself over his back, hands settling over his stomach. “Cara mia.”  Percy leaned back into him. “Mon cher,” He returned.  Bucky pressed his lips to the side of his neck, and, in one smooth motion, he bent over to secure an behind Percy’s knees, and stood, lifting Percy with him.  “Night, Tony.” Was all he said, leaving an absolutely stunned billionaire behind. Stephen, too, looked astonished. “Is that normal?” Tony dropped his head into his hands. “For them? Absolutely.”

Fics that developed my foundational understanding of Percy as a character and also are just my favorites in no particular order:

1. The File, but if you’re here you already know, so we’ll just move on.

2. Fishing in Alaska by Caffeinatedflumadiddle. Percy runs away to Alaska against the wishes of the gods. Shenanigans ensue. Some of their fics have had me crying with laughter, but also still contain a nice dose of angst.

3. Nothing to Make a Song About but Kings by iwillpassthis. A curse causes Poseidon and all his god offspring to disappear, leaving Percy heir to Atlantis. I love political Percy and the vibes here are immaculate.

4. Stars on the Water by liketolaugh. Percy goes to therapy. This one takes place before Heroes of Olympus, but there’s a sequel for that. They also have a very fun Marvel crossover (The Blue Food Project).

5. Falling for You by 1967HogwartsGoddess. Percy in Tartarus alone. Until we get more details from Denimbeans, this is pretty much what I imagine Tartarus-wise. Very angsty.

These are all finished multi-chapter fics that I think about and reread regularly.
