Dusk eventually arrived and Ruby was the first one of them to stir awake, still coiled up in his arm she freed herself by pushing herself up some; she looked down at him soon enough due to her squirming having woken him up aswell.
"Morning, Red." He uttered in a hoarse though soft tone of voice as he met her gaze and moved his free hand to scratch the back of his head while yawning.
"Hey." She murmured in return, pausing momentarily as she studied him. "Thanks for letting me stay.."
Killian quirked a brow, meeting her gaze yet again. "Well, ofcourse." He shrugged faintly.
Ruby smiled slightly. "No, seriously.. it was really sweet."
He furrowed his brows lightly though chose not to ask as he just smiled tiredly back at her and shrugged again. "Didn't feel right kicking you out in the early morning. I think I'm going to get a couple of more hours sleep though, stay for longer if you want."
"That's fine, I've got things to do." She pressed a kiss down at his bare chest before she squirmed out of his grasp fully and slipped out of the bed after smiling one last time at him. "What're you doing later?"
Bringing his arm behind his head he laid on his back observing her with a tired gaze. "Probably gonna go for a run after I wake up, then I dunno'. Why?"
"Just curious."
"Will I see you again?"
"Do you want to?"
"Maybe."
"Then maybe." She countered, smirking at him while she got dressed.
He snickered softly at that. "Maybe will do." He smirked in return before rolling over on his side as he slipped back underneath the covers. "Nice meeting you, Red~. Stay safe." He said with yet another small yawn as he closed his eyes.
"You too, Killian.." Ruby murmured with a frown, more so to herself then to him.
She quietly walked to the door after having glanced back at him in the bed for a final time, a saddened sigh escaped her when she opened and left through the door; and soon she also left the manor.
By the time they were done they both fell asleep near enough instantly in eachoters' arms; exhausted, still quite drunk and satisfied all at once.
Killian usually didn't cuddle up with his one-night stands but he wasn't about to send Ruby straight out in the morning sun while she was clearly as exhausted as he was; she was most likely not protected from the rays of the sun either, so he made a pass on his own rule this time around.
And to be honest, he didn't mind the trouble free company in his bed.
Once upstairs, the two wasted no more time as Killian barely got the door open completely before Ruby had thrown herself into his arms; her own was clinging around his neck as she pulled him into a kiss.
As he met her lips in the kiss he couldn't help but smirk through it while his hands traced down her velvet dress and to her rear where he then squeezed her in closer to him, without breaking from her touch he started to slowly guide her towards the bed in his room.
Ruby pushed the door closed behind herself with her heel before she followed his lead all whilst she remained kissing his lips any chance she got, her actions became more eager and impatient as she started to rip his vest open and then his shirt; followed by her hands then finding his belt to unbuckle it, he was returning the favour by freeing her skin from underneath the dress; all whilst not missing any opportunity of exploring her figure in the process.
He pushed her playfully from him to have her land on the bed once he was fully in the nude, she let out a playful gasp then and smirked in delight as he proceeded by removing her stockings and heels before he then pressed himself down over her to let their bodies meet; a hand of his grabbed her by the throat just gently when they locked lips yet again in a eager though passionate kiss.
Back inside the manor Killian had just left the bathroom and were on his way back to find his company when he halted in his step upon noticing a woman in red approaching him.
He studied the details of her face; it was unfamiliar to him and having that happening twice in one night was unusual, so she immediately sparked his interest. He was certain about not remembering her; he would've. She was definitely the kind of woman that you put to memory, he thought. He usually knew of every single one living in the Hollow and there hadn't been any recent turns for the past few years. Stella's date and this woman now approaching him made him start to doubt that though; it put new questions in his mind about why Count Straud would choose to make new vampires without the Voss' family's knowledge.
Or did his mother know?
Torn from his train of thought he flashed a charming smirk once the stranger reached him and she immediately spoke.
"Finally, a man who looks like he knows the meaning of 'a good time'~." The redhead tilted her head with a smirk of her own as her crimson eyes shamelessly scanned him from top to bottom.
Killian closed his fist gently behind his back and brought the other below his chest as he bowed briefly before her. "Killian Voss, at your 'good time' service~."
She breathed a soft laugh. "Ruby~."
A small smirk once more found his lips and he arched a single brow. "Just Ruby?"
"Just Ruby."
"A'right then, just Ruby~. So one glance is all it takes for you to determine whether I'm worth your while?" This time it was him who eyed her over shamelessly as she took a couple of steps closer to him.
"Well," Ruby started with a glint in her eye. "I'm not looking to learn about your dreams, deepest secrets or fears-" She paused and lift her hand up to trace her long, red nails slowly up his vest until she ended up fiddling slightly with the collar of his shirt; her eyes now meeting his quite intently.
"-or marry you and live our happily ever after~. So your looks is all I really need. Plus some more stuff.."
He couldn't help but chuckle softly. "So since we're being blunt. You're just looking for a good screw?"
"Depends. Are you interested?" She countered with a playful smile on her lips as she tugged slightly on his vest now, oh-so subtly guiding him closer towards the exit.
Killian glanced around briefly as she guided him away, his thoughts momentarily shifted to Scarlett; he wasn't keen on the idea of possibly creating another situation which he was certain would hurt her.. and potentially endanger him.
Luckily enough for him she was no longer anywhere to be seen, so she must've left he thought to himself as a sense of relief washed over him; it was the only convincing he needed to assure himself this was a good idea.
The couple of drinks he'd had by now had done most of the job of clouding his mind from reason and it helped him forget about Nate and Xavier completely aswell.
"Sounds perfect to me, Red~." He ended up saying and his hand found hers gently as he guided her towards the closed off stairway with a smirk.
"So.. let's get out of here, then?" Ruby giggled though arched a brow in obvious confusion when he wasn't heading for the front door as she had been.
"You're in luck, darlin~. I happen to live here, so we've got a whole attic floor to ourselves." He replied and turned around, facing his back to her as he started to unhook the flower garland from blocking the stairs.
She blinked. "You-- oh." A frown found her features while he wasn't looking although it was quickly replaced by the same playful smile as before once he turned back around and offered his hand out to her to lead her upstairs.

While everyone else were chattering, drinking and some of them dancing in the livingroom; Minerva was enjoying a blood drink in solitude in the sunroom, away from the music and inappropriate behaviour, according to her, of the batlings.
Up until Davon found her and accompanied her at the table without having been asked to. "Quite the party inside." He smiled warmly as he set his blood cocktail down. "It was a great idea to bring everyone together like this, my lady."
Minerva scrunched her nose up slightly by the intruder to her peace but decided to let it pass, given who it was. "Please, Davon. We've been over this. It's Minerva, we've known eachoter for over a century."
Davon nodded slowly though frowned as he took a moment to ponder upon his next words. "It's just that I've been a terrible friend to you for the past years and I feel ashamed." He said softly then with a hand resting over his heart.
She tilted her head some and studied him silently with evident surprise lingering in her gaze.
He sipped his cocktail before he continued, a tad more careful in his tone this time around. "I don't feel like it's my place to ask anymore but.. I worry. How are things, Minerva? Xavier tells me Killian passed out in the bar a while ago, aren't you working the boy too hard? Yourself.. too hard?"
Minerva remained quiet still for another long moment, her gaze now set firmly on the crimson liquid in her glass which she then picked up to sip from before she shook her head calmly. "You've got nothing to be worried about, lord Von Lavish." She said sharply. "One way or another, that castle will be his."
He cleared his throat softly and bowed his head in a small nod. "Forgive me, I don't mean to overstep, my lady."
"You mean well, I am aware. But I can assure you I've considered every scenario."
"Even the scenario where your son could fall?"
"Yes." Minerva answered with no hesitation in her voice.
They both picked up their glasses for a sip as silence crept up on them.. the sound of music and people's chattering once more making itself reminded as Davon kept his gaze on the liquid in his glass after he'd put it back down, he then glanced back at Fang; the cowplant behind him as he seemed to think about her reply for a long time, a small frown lingering on his features until he flashed her another smile; even hough it appeared a tad forced.
"I would never question your authority, my lady. But I need to voice my concerns.. Reyes and you have been good friends to my family for a long time, your husband was my best friend.. and I could simply not forgive myself if something bad would happen and if I hadn't tried to prevent it." Davon paused, his smile fading as a seriousness found his gaze as he gestured with his hand towards hers, specifically at the black ring on her finger which held a round, crimson diamond. "It's not only been a hundred years since we were trapped here, it's also a hundred years since you lost your husband.."
Minerva shuddered back just slightly at his words and lifted said hand with a frown of her own as she looked down at the ring; mostly to avoid eye contact. "What're you saying, Davon?" She soon asked with a quite cold tone to her voice.
He sighed quietly and his expression softened. "I believe that your desire to take down the Count is not just because of the idea of a better future for our kin; but also because of you wanting to revenge your beloved. And I don't think that you see how that makes everything so much more dangerous."
"You're wrong." Minerva said firmly. "That makes it even more important and nothing assures a win more then the lust for revenge."
"My dear.. if the Count is to fall it will be so. And as I followed Reyes I shall follow you. But revenge can be blinding.. I trust you, my lady.. I only ask that you think twice before you act and that you let your allies in. Let me help."
"Very well.." She wrinkled her nose, his sweetness caused her discomfort to grow and she squirmed a tad in her seat, brushed off her dress at the skirt as she avoided his gaze yet again. "I will have you informed if I think of something you can help me with."
"Thank you." Davon smiled warmly and observed her with a glint in his eye. "I hate seeing you go through all of this, Minerva. Especially alone.. you know I've always cared about you deeply. More deeply then you might be aware of.."
"I know that I am probably coming off too strong now, and perhaps it's the blood drinks talking-" He joked, "-but I've held my tongue for far too long. And you do look absolutely stunning tonight it feels as if the words are being pulled out of me against my will. I apologize for that aswell, if it is to your disliking.." He smiled again, this time quite playfully.
"Davon.." Minerva murmured with a raised brow, her gaze finding his in hesitation as his bluntness had her quite loss for words. She studied him quite intently and noticed herself swallowing quietly before a tiny smile found her lips.
"Who doesn't have a crush on who?" A female's voice soon interrupted them as Xavier's sister approached them just in time to hear Nate's protests.
"Oh. Hey, Iz." Killian lift his glass slightly with a small smirk. "Looking good tonight."
"Glad you noticed, you don't look too bad yourself~."
"I might've got a crush on you~." Nate wiggled his eyebrows at Izora and grinned foolishly.
Killian arched a brow at Nate, snickering. "You've drunk enough."
"I've barely drank any!"
"Back off, Natey." Xavier spoke through a forced smile and gritted teeth.
"Cute, but no." Izora giggled, amused.
As Izora joined in on their conversation it followed in the same mood with dull jokes, refills of drinks, old and new stories.
By now those gathered had gotten intoxicated enough that the music playing in the background had started to be overvoiced by laughter and them talking into eachoters' mouths.
Not all vampires could get affected by substances anymore but those referred to as batlings still could, only some of a vampire’s humanity gets lost as they turn. The rest goes away with time.
Knowing that one day he won’t feel a thing anymore, Killian tries to not take it for granted. So he always appreciates nights like these, even though he'd probably never admit to it.
"Well.. you could've atleast covered your chest." Xavier wrinkled his nose at Nate.
"Ain't my fault you can't stop looking at it." Nate shot back as he flashed a grin at Xavier.
Xavier rolled his eyes at Nate's comment though chose not to answer it. "Speaking of ways to dress and such.. Scarlett's looking quite different tonight, doesn't she? Also, I'm surprised you'd still invite her after.. you know." He looked at Killian.
"I'm surprised she still came." Killian frowned some and shrugged his shoulders faintly. "I didn't invite her though, Parqual found out too late to take back the invite. And how does she look different?" He cast a glance over at Scarlett, then back at Xavier with an arched brow.
"She doesn't usually wear silver, only gold. And she usually doesn't wear red." Xavier stated as if it was obvious.
Both Nate and Killian stared blankly at Xavier, Nate soon grinning like a fool.
"Why do you know that stuff?" Killian asked with a laugh.
"I'm.. observant." Xavier nodded. "With everyone. So it's not a weird thing or anything." He quickly added.
Nate laughed. Loudly.
"It's really not!" Xavier huffed and glared at them both.
"You put the oddest things to memory." Killian sipped his drink with a snicker before he arched a brow, spotting Stella on her way to walk upstairs with her date, by the looks of it.
Nate seemed to notice this too and muttered under his breath while sipping his drink slowly.
"What're you muttering about?" Xavier frowned.
"He has a crush on my sister."
"What?!"
Nate blinked before he stared daggers at Killian. "I don't!"
Xavier laughed. "You could never handle Stella.. Nate what're you thinking?" He then laughed again, as if he truly found the idea of the two of them together amusing.
"That's what I thought!" Killian joined in, laughing too.
"Idon'thaveacrushonStella!" Nate growled in protest.
After he was reassured Parqual actually left his spot by the stairs like he'd been told to, Killian rejoined his company and Nate gave him his drink as promised. He'd found Xavier by now, who was as dolled up in a floral shirt with matching pink pants and cream suspenders.
"No more bruises on that porcelain skin I see~." Xavier teased with a chuckle.
"You've missed my beautiful face, haven't you?" Killian smirked. "It looks like a flower bunny took a dump on you, though~."
Xavier chuckled again then shrug his shoulders lightly with a grin. "Thank you! I know that's your way of saying I look really nice~. Which I do~."
"For sure." He shook his head with a snicker before he took a sip from his glass. "Atleast you know how to tuck your shirt in~." He said to Xavier, smirking again as he shot Nate a glance.
"Look man..." Nate groaned. "Parqual said wear what you're comfortable in, I'm comfortable!"
Killian got Nate away from there before he gave Stella another reason to try and bite his head off; he convinced him to go get them drinks and find Xavier.
Meanwhile Killian spared a moment to approach Parqual who stood by the stairs, frozen in a proper posture and ready to be of service to anyone who needed it.
"Hey, buddy." Killian said as he stopped beside him.
Parqual shined up and smiled brightly at Killian. "Hello~! Do you want me to bring you a drink, Killian?"
"No, no. I'm perfectly capable of getting one myself." He snickered. "Listen bud, why don't you take the night off?"
"N- Night off..?" Parqual hesitated as he looked at him, bewildered at his question.
"Music's playing, drinks are out. Everyone have what they need, you've done your part and you set everything up so it's only fair you get to enjoy your own party too, you know?"
"Oh.. I don't know, Killian.. my lady Voss would not be happy about that.. it's.. it's not my place." Parqual bowed his head slightly and his voice was quieter, as if he was afraid just speaking about it would summon lady Voss.
Killian rolled his eyes. "Let me handle her, don't you worry. I say that I don't want to see that glorious hat to go waste and you'd better listen to me, too." He winked at Parqual and smirked.
Parqual shined up yet again, this time due to having his hat complimented. "It is quite marvelous, isn't it?"
Killian laughed. "It's amazing~."
He dusted off his suit and looked hesistant again."I really don't want to get you into any trouble though, so maybe it's best--"
Killian shook his head and interrupted him. "I can handle my mother, Parqual. Now go enjoy yourself, that's an order." He grinned.
The skeleton looked about to argue yet again before he stopped himself and smiled brightly as he nodded slowly. "Okay then, I will.. thank you, Killian." He said genuinely, still smiling like a child on Winterfest morning.

Nate nodded slowly and cast a glance over his shoulder again. "A'right, a'right.. you're right. So, who's Stella's plus one?" He then asked, changing the subject as Killian clearly wanted.
Killian arched a brow and slipped his hands into the pockets of his pants with a smirk. "Her name's Poppy. Apparently." He shrugged faintly and too cast a glance over Nate's shoulder at Stella and her company; a female dressed in pink. Curly, turquoise hair tied up in a loose bun and she had those kinds of smiles that were contagious.
"Never seen her 'round before.." Nate stated, scratching the back of his beanie again.
"She was turned around the same time as you, five years ago. But apparently she's been sticking to herself or a selected few, seems she's got a thing for Stella as of recently." Killian explained or more so just shared the small amount of information he'd gotten about Poppy from his sister before the party.
"What's gotten you so curious about who Stella hangs out with out of a sudden?" He added, his smirk deepening as he studied his friend.
Nate scrunched his nose up a bit as he was listening to Killian and now and then glanced over his shoulder at Stella and her new flirt.
"No reason ..." He muttered in response before he was visibly startled by Stella suddenly catching him staring, she shot him a meaning glare and he shrunk some in embarrassment of having been caught.
A soft chuckle escaped Killian's lips as he watched the whole scene without intervening, for now deciding against confronting Nate about whatever his curiosity was about.
"Thanks for borrowing me the shirt, don't own a suit or anything, ya'know." Nate said after giving Killian a big hug.
Killian eyed Nate over and smirked at how he'd left the shirt partially unbuttoned and barely tucked in. "Guess you don't own a second pair of pants or clean shoes, either~?" He teased.
Nate shrugged his shoulders. "Who needs that many pairs of pants? I cleaned these like two weeks ago."
Eirisse who had entered shortly after Nate now stood of hearing distance to them scrunched up her nose and started looking around for an escape route.
Killian let out a laugh. "You're lucky Parqual doesn't believe in strict dress codes."
"Yeah man, this is the first party I've been invited to in five years!" Nate flashed his fangs in a wide grin yet again, genuinely happy about that it seems. "So anyway, uh. I haven't had the chance to talk to Stella about the whole book thing--" He then started saying in a quieter tone, as if sensing Stella's presence behind him.
Killian interrupted him by lifting a hand up, shaking his head lightly. "Forget about it, bud. It's not here, the Ancient said. Seems like the Count's got secrets of his own we've not considered." He lowered the tone in his voice aswell; as much as the music allowed for him to still be heard though only by Nate, he hoped.
"Then where is it? Surely we should be able to get it somehow." Nate scratched the back of his beanie, casting a glance over his shoulder briefly before he looked back at Killian.
"They didn't say, just that it's far away which I guess means not in the Hollow. They made it clear it won't help against Vladislaus, anyway."
"They said that?"
"Not specifically but.. specifically enough."
Nate frowned. "So then what do we do?"
Killian wafted a hand dismissively. "We'll figure it out, tonight's not about that."
The feeling of comfortable solitude washed away in an instant when he reached the last couple of stairs and he glanced across the manor and immediately spotted Stella catching up with Izora, Xavier's sister.
The Von Lavish family and the Voss family went back for as long as anyone could remember, Killian and Xavier for an example had been friends ever since they were kids.
So naturally the whole family had been invited, thus he started looking around for Xavier when he got to the bottom of the stairs. He expected to find him not far away from his sister.
Approaching the front door, he instead bumped into another guest who just arrived, flashing his fangs to Killian in a wide grin. "'Ey bro!"
Killian wasn't too thrilled about the idea of the manor being crowded for a whole night, but at the same time he too felt the urge to distract himself from all that was going on.
The past week he had put all of his focus into his training in an attempt to stop himself from going over the night at the Ancient's over and over again in his mind. But he had failed miserably at that.
He avoided his mother like the plague, still not any wiser at what the Ancient's vision meant. What was his mother going to do that was so bad it pushed him over the edge like that? Promises to kill wasn't something he handed out lightly, so it had to be bad, he imagined.
Tonight, however..
His only focus was going to be upon alcohol and good banter between his friends, his thoughts regarding Vlad, his mother and Scarlett wasn't going to get in the way of that. Parqual had made sure to invite anyone remotedly close to the family, so everyone Killian viewed being a friend was coming.
Aswell as two plus ones he'd not yet been introduced to, apparently.
Music had already started playing downstairs and chatter from the first guests arriving was soon filling the manor like a breath of fresh air in comparison to what had been the past week.
The rest of his family was probably already downstairs, saying their greetings and claiming their first drinks of the night.
Still in the safety of his attic floor however, Killian took his time getting ready to meet tonight's events. Despite lacking a reflection in any mirror, he had done the works tonight by not only dressing up but he also styled his hair with some wax and put on cologne, putting in all the efforts to manifest a good night.
Once he was done, he gave himself one last mental pep talk before he shut the lights off and blew out any burning candles in his room and left through the door and down the first flight of stairs.
