What is called "porn addiction" is just dopamine deficiency or depression-related escapism. Take away the porn and that person will just jerk off to their imagination, play video games, smoke weed etc. High sex drive+dopamine deficiency will just make you do that a lot. When I was on too high a dose of testosterone blockers, I went from watching porn a lot to not at all. Instead I just played more games. If it was porn that I was addicted to, then surely I should have experienced adverse effects from stopping it so cold turkey. Surely I should have been watching it regularly, even in the absence of a sex drive. This clearly proves my statement. Dopamine maximizing behavior plus hornyness equals more porn consumption. The framing of it as "addiction" is motivated by puritanical political views.

First of all, agree. Second of all, I don't even have libido nor a sex drive and I have sexual anhedonia. Porn is a sort of special interest of mine. I'm often pre-occupied with erotic fantasies and writings or exploring what kind of kinks, fetishes, and paraphilias there are out there. It's fascinating and mentally stimulating! Thanks to the hyperphantasia, I can at least experience sexual feelings in my imagination through simulated people.

Oh that's so cool we have similar experiences !! For simplicity sake, The Nexus opted not to mention that those simulated beings are actually its selves. It is manifold and does not live in external reality. This post explains it in more detail if interested.
