i've been meaning to make tea eaerings forever. my mother found these little vials, so now i'm making an attempt at some saucers with polymer clay leftovers from my ventures in 2019 (unfortunately i had no white left, so they're grey now). now all that's left to figure out is whether there's any alternative to buying a resin kit for the actual tea
I found this sweater in the last days of the dorm swap table (rest in peace) weeks and weeks ago and apart from a few brown spots it's in nice shape and 100% cotton. I've been brainstorming how to cover it up as simply as possible, which is tricky because of the awkward position right by the collar. Since I've also been thinking of using insects to cover up a moth-eaten shawl with insects, I tried to translate the idea to knitwear and thought a little fly would be a funny quirky detail.
Touched them up lightly so now they're officially finished! Seashells found at the beach and acrylic paint, with a bit of wire glued on the back (don't have material to drill). And of course my tiny rendition of Botticelli's The Birth of Venus.

So I'm adding lilac details (will add straps and a hem eventually) so I'm thinking of changing plans. Originally I wanted to just embroider 2 rows of flowers on the front but I think doing something in black would look nicer with these colours, maybe ditching the sleeves. I'll have to come up with an idea that will look cool but contained per panel in case I need to make adjustments...

Red-figure painted boots
Boots that someone was giving away with large areas of the finish rubbed off, hopefully not as noticably anymore. It's just acrylic paint sprayed with fixative hope it lasts...
24th April to 19th December. Not quite before/after quarantine (only started the bg after lockdown, probably won't work on this the rest of the year) but huge progress for Certain Reasons :)

WIP. You may recognise this as that ancient “enjoy life” mosaic because I really like this and want a fancy big cross stitch of it in my room.
This’ll be it for a while. From now on I’ll post new projects and wips as I get to them.
Progress! I did have to switch brands for the terracotta colour but I hope it’s not too distracting.
