How do you deal with hate? Since ob has gotten a lot more attention I’ve been seeing ppl express a lot of different opinions about the fic and some opinions are very negative. I was just wondering how you deal with it. Asking as someone who plans to start their own fic soon and is very scared of getting hate lol.

w every popular fanfic comes hate , just like any other piece of popular media. my fic has helped people feel seen , heard and literally escape abusive relationships. that’s what matters to me , not nasty people on the internet who feel the need and waste their time bashing the hell out of fanfic authors who write for free when it’s common etiquette not to ??? lol ☠️☠️fanfic is a gift. if those people don’t like what they see they can click off and write their own idk

i don’t see half the comments and NEVER go through wattpad bc i chose to protect my peace and im happy that way. write bc u love it and don’t let people who hide behind a screen and say nothing to ur face kill that love for u when half of them don’t put in the energy to create something themselves.

why does jean prefer to drive and be in control of the car if he was the one driving when him and marco crashed?

he didn’t until recently, don’t forget that when we meet jean it was a week to the day of the year anniversary of what happened. he did not drive for months after the accident. when he finally did, it was when he came back to TSU the following spring semester by the grace of eren. it was a struggle and he hated every minute of it. u can see proof of this in the earlier chapters of ob , i think it was chap 11 when he sits in the car w y/n so he can calm down bc he was in his head from even a simple drive through town. y/n said he literally didn’t say a word the entire way bc he was so stressed and focused on the road. he did not like to drive. he was always anxious and always drove under the speed limit, hands at a perfect ten and two bc of his paranoia. there’s a moment in ob dedicated to jean acknowledging the fact that he only started getting comfortable behind the wheel again when y/n was in the passenger seat.
