by Alfred Jacobsen, 1906
Maddy Inez (b 1993) is an artist living and working in Los Angeles. She works primarily in clay, creating hand-built ceramic sculptures that draw from domestic objects, furniture forms and architectural fragments. Her work often reinterprets functional vessels, pedestals, and ornamental structures, translating them into sculptural forms that emphasise weight, texture, and surface treatment.
Using glazing, carving, and layered construction, Leeser highlights the tactile qualities of clay while referencing historical decorative arts and interior design.
