VERDE [INTERVIEW]
Verde is producer/rapper from San Diego Californi. He has a very unique and intricate sound that could offer a lot in the underground music scene. We stumbled upon Verde after his placement on one of Xavier Wulf songs “ WYA” and a series of projects. Lets dive deeper into Verde and his humble beginnings in this exclusive Plvnet Sound Interview.
Q1) For those who don't know , give us a brief bio about yourself ?
Verde: “I basically got my name because my fav color is green and its in Spanish because I grew up with hella Mexicans lol I got respect for em. I'm from San Diego California and I've been making music for a lil over 2 years“.
Q2) We see your focused heavily on the producing end of music but what inspired you to also rap if you weren't already ?
Verde: “I started rapping first but I like producing a lot more. For some reason I can't write all the time so I just rap when I'm really feelin it or if I'm drunk af lol“
Q3) Who are some of your musical influences of any genre and why ?
Verde: “Honestly daft punk I've always just fucked with their sound. They also led me to some rare ass genre called French house which opened my eyes to house in general but overall daft punk are like the only music artists I care about enough to say that they influenced me“.
Q4) With so many people rapping and producing these days what do you feel sets you apart from most ?
Verde: “I just feel like I've got a different goal. I honestly wanna just be a producer that doesn't need anyone's lyrics. I personally hate the fact that people think producers are nothing without rappers I love sounds more than lyrics so I just wanna create songs with my production that people can listen to”.
Q5) We see your into skateboarding , when did you start skating and what got you into it ?
Verde: “ I love skating I started skating when I was 13 and I started on accident low key. I was living with my aunt at the time and I was homies with the kid next door whos dad ended up beating some dude with a bat so he got deported to Mexico and my friend got sent to his grandmas n I never seen him again. Next day I go in the backyard and I seen he left his skateboard in the backyard ever since I seen it I been skating damn near everyday“.
Q6) What do you see is the most successful thing you've done in your career thus far and why did it make such a impact on you ?
Verde: “My most successful thing is getting Xavier wulf on one of my beats its his song from last year ’WYA’. It made an impact on me cause Wulf is one of my favorite rappers that I've been had a lot of respect for so that shit was crazy to me”.
Q7) With all your production that you've done for others and all the singles and projects that you've released so far what's next for Verde ?
Verde: Honestly what's next is just me grinding to make it this year. I'm in a great spot with my music right now so I just wanna get more placements and get more coverage. I'm motivated so expect nonstop heat from me this year

Mavo [Interview]
Mavo is underground artist out of Kansas who is co-creator of the collective ‘MTPHSCS’. Some Members include artists Dxct, Melanie Rose, producers Hector Vae’, Alfon Zaaberg , Kin and graphic designer Queen Astral. Lets learn more about the lyricist himself & about the collective thats taking over the dark webs.
Q1) For those who don't know , give us a brief bio about yourself ?
Mavo: “ I got my name Mavo from this old cartoon I used to watch as a kid and it just stuck in high school and I really haven't felt the need to change it. My home state is Kansas lol. and I been doing music for bout 8-9 years”.
Q2) What originally got you into making music and do you aspire to make a career out of it or just a hobby?
Mavo: “It was really just always a interest of mine and my grandfather was a musician, it wasn't till like a year ago I decided to really try and organized and progress it as best I can. Hip hop has always had a heavy influence in my life too so I def would say that also fuels my passion and thirst for knowledge”.
Q3) In a recent interview with Dxct he kinda shed some light on yalls collective ‘Mtphscs’. At what point did you join and what does the Mtphscs mean to you ?
Mavo: ”I never really joined I remember him calling me bout the idea and we decided a name sended out invite emails to people and shit lol was funny, but he my brother we grew up together so it was natural, it means a lot to me and the people involved do as well. It's just a nice zone to create and try something different”.
Q4) Who are some of your favorite producers to work with whether they're apart of your collective or not ?
Mavo: “Just a couple since there so many, but off tops Alfon Zaaberg, Mana, Nvrmore, hector vaé and Mt. Marcy just to keep it short and sweet”.
Q5) Do you ever think you will get on the producing end yourself or just strictly stick to writing music ?
Mavo: “ I always made beats but never really felt they were really that dope yet, but eventually yea i will for sure.
Q6) Seems like today rap music is more of a trend rather then a passion and lyrics don't have near as much meaning as they used to. What inspired you to be such a lyricist and do you see yourself ever simplifying your music ?
Mavo: “I'm just obsessed with technicality and wordplay , I guess I got a lot of east coast influence with Midwest delivery and speed like Bizzy Bone to Nas and Mos Def , Typical Cats are ill too. Was really into them. And as far as simplifying I can def say for sure in my own way yea def want to make more positive music”.
Q7) How do you feel about the underground music culture and would you change anything about it if you could?
Mavo: “I feel the culture is going in a good independent direction, very open, it's dope, I see great things. And to be honest I don't think I would change anything”.
Q8) Where all excited for this new Astral Projection video but do you have any new singles or projects coming out soon ?
Mavo: “I got the new vid you mentioned coming out - as well as my EP coming out soon dropping a date in the next few weeks with a video as well, I'm very stoked bout it all. On that tape it's just all produced by Alfon Zaaberg. We been working on it for awhile so we can't wait to release it for y'all.

Q1) Who is Dxct ?
“ dxct is pronounced doc T , like doctor t, my last name starts w a T so that's the origin of the name dxct. Ima musician from wichita Kansas and founder of the mtphscs collective “
Q2) Who are Mtphscs ?
“ Mtphscs is an international collective of artists and visionarys w like minded conscious interests. We started in early 2014 and are coming up on our one year anniversary. Mtphscs basically the opposite of the illuminati It started in wichita Kansas w/ me Mavo and foolish then we decided to branch out w other artists in our scene, such as emp and kaido and it Expanded from there . Now basically Mtphscs is the dream team ! “
Q3) How did you get into making music ?
“ I started making music at a young age , originally I picked up the guitar and wanted to be a "rockstar" . My first lyric writing was written along side guitar riffs and intended to be sung. Around age 13-14 my whole friend crew started rapping- like the whole freshman grade was "rappers." I found I was pretty good at hip hop and converted my song writing to writing rap bars. The fact that EVERYONE around me was rapping led to a competitive environment. Me and Mavo excelled from the group , kept working on our craft and that's how it turned into career.”
Q4) Who's your favorite producer , and an artist you really want to work with ?
“ Favorite producer I don't really have one, but I definitely bump a lot of strngr a lot of emp and a lot of goombah. Im real excited to see goombah come up. An artist I really wanna work w is Flatbush zombies, I really fuck w there support of psychadelics and feel like we could make some dope ish down the road . “
Q5) What was your first experience performing like? Do you have any shows planned anytime soon?
“ Oh man my first experience performing was real awkward, way back in the day before I did shows someone hit me up about a open mic. It was at this coffee house and people were reading poetry and playing violins n shit, all old ass white coffee goers in the audience. I walked up like "fuck rehab drug use Ima steal yo bitch" type lyrics and the crowd was jus shocked. It was ridiculous. That was my very 1st. But yea as of recently we've been throwing our own shows, we just did one by a bigass swamp lake at a park on some punk rock type shit. N that was super dope. We've been really tryna bring more rappers through wichita Kansas cause it's such a slept on city and the scene here is actually really dope “
Q6) Whats your favorite drug ?
“ My favorite drug def weed I mean if that counts as a drug other then that I like psychadelics and have a love hate relationship w lean “
Q7) Whats your favorite thing about making music ?
“ Making music is a natural high in itself, I jus hear the shit in my head and it's so dope to listen to a final product all manifested. The most humbling shit is when people tell me I inspire them to make art that's the real reward. We been doing this like 7 years so it's dope to see that it does matter and is taking us somewhere. I like stunting on people who doubted. “
Q8) Do you have any projects , singles , videos coming out in the near future ?
“ I got some vids and my debut tape coming out in the very near future, I'm hype about it. Can't give u a name yet but it's just about ready, this shits like 3 years in the making so I'm excited to release it. “
Q9) What would you like to say to your fans/supporters ?
“ To my supporters/fans : Thank you and yall the real MVPs. U guys make this shit possible 6400 percent. I appreciate every one of you who shares the music, u make this work. We owe u. Realize how much power u hold. I appreciate every fan fr “

Kaido [ interview ]
Kaido is a producer and member of the collective “ Mtphscs “. He has had major growth in the last couple months with a big following on soundcloud. He believes in keeping the mystique in his identity but opens up in this interview about his music.
Q1) Who is Kaido and how did you come up with that name?
“ Kaido is a music producer with no real identity, just music for you to hear.--I was googling things trying to find a name to go by & I was going through a character list off that show one piece which was when I found this "kaido" name on there, it just stuck to me when I saw it so I ran with it. I plan on changing it soon though. hector vaé “
Q2) How did you get into making music ?
“ Well I had dropped out of school and my parents didn't let me go outside much due to "murder rates" & all that type of stuff so I just got bored doing nothing all day which led to me downloading FL studio and getting hooked on it, that was early on last year. “
Q3) How did you become part of the mtphscs collective ?
“ Dxct approached me around September 2014 he invited me to join this collective I was pretty stoked cause before anything we were all sort of fans of eachother before we even met eachother. After getting everyone recruited we all worked together well so it was the perfect circle for us, it was bound to come together. “
Q4) Who do you like hearing on your production the most and who are some people you'd like to hear on it in the future?
“ I'm not really the type to produce for people too often cause I'd rather make my own music but I'd have to say dxct or mavo. --near future I'd say Danny Seth or night lovell although my ultimate goal is young thug. I don't really care for placements but s/o to all the rappers out there though. “
Q5) Who are your favorite producers to work with and who are some people who inspired you ?
“I really enjoy working with Paulie, strngr, Thorneus & my boy EMP they some of my favorite producers right now, all mtphscs dudes. --Im going to have to say I was inspired by Marilyn Manson and 808 mafia. I can name way more cause I love a lot of shit that made me want to make music but those two are my main inspirations, maybe even flying lotus. “
Q6) Do you make music in hopes of making it a career for you one day or just as a hobby?
“ ah I think about this a lot, I'm not sure to be honest I know it isn't easy to just go and have a career in music & I don't know if I'm up to par but hopefully I can maybe build something out of this. if not imma probably still keep doing it cause it's sort of an antidepressant for me, whatever happens it doesn't matter though. i love music and I love making music. “
Q7) Whats your favorite movie/tv show to watch and why?
“ I'm not too into TV but I love gravity falls that shit goes in and it makes me forget about everything going on in the world that's the cool thing about cartoons you feel me loll. my favorite movie is the exorcist though, like the original one that came out in the 70's. I love horror films. “
“
Q8) Will you ever reveal your face on twitter?
“ no, I never plan on being that guy with a face all over the Internet honestly I'd rather people just be held by the mystique of not knowing who I am. I don't want people to think they know me and I really don't seek anyone approval on what I look like so I'm just putting music out and leaving that selfie stuff to everyone else. “
Q9) Whats your favorite song you've made so far?
“ I haven't released that but it'll probably be on an EP Imma drop some time soon, if I had to pick one my soundcloud it would be pnk though. “
PNK : https://soundcloud.com/kvido/it-ends-here
Q10) Do you have any projects coming soon or singles and what would you like to tell your fans?
“ I have 2 EP's I want to drop but apart from that I'm probably going to continue dropping singles on soundcloud, a couple collabs here and there & maybe even some placements. I'm not sure of anything I don't plan stuff cause they just end up happening alone so I guess if anyone fucks with me enough they'll just have to wait and see what I do.-- to anyone who supports me thank you I appreciate it and I also want to thank y'all for taking the time to ask me these questions. S/o to you guys. As for anyone that dislikes me you've probably never met me. Vaé Season 201X “

“ Honestly just pushing myself to make better and more intricate lyrics. I used to rap on strictly old school beat so it helped me write better songs. As long as I can have some good effect on people I'm fine fuck the numbers “
Q7) “ Who's Hidden Jewels ? “
Man its crazy how far the Jewels have come, it started in early 2014 as just an idea I had. Q8) Whats your favorite song you've made to date and why ?
“ My favorite song I've made so far has to be between Tear Gem, Memory, Soar & Hiei. Tear gem is a special one to me though because I wrote it at a hard in my life, all the stress of getting older an e-hoes was getting to me lol. Plus a lot of people start switching up around that time. It was like my first big song to me , I’d never been so honest on a track “

Q9) What do you have to say to all your supporters ?

“ Well in December I'm dropping my first project! I feel like its long overdue tbh. Everything before my next work was just practice in my eyes.
