It’s sad cos a lot of villains in Rurouni Kenshin became villains when samurai were abolished and swords were banned and they lost their livelihoods completely; but it’s also funny seeing Hiko the Thirteenth, heir to the most powerful swordsmanship style ever, romantic loner samurai extraordinaire, make the jump hilariously seamlessly. No sweat, no tears, no raging at the government, no trying to bomb people, no mercenary jobs, no terrorism. Jumpstarted his pottery business just like that.
