Pale boots smacked against the pavement as Piper rushed to the other's aid, skidding to a halt on her knees a few inches away. She knew naught who this student was, but soot and charred clothes didn't look to pleasant on them.

Colour Naming Rule
{ Hey folks, I'm here to clear up some things about Piper's name. It wasn't until yesterday that I noticed the colour rule put in place for RWBY OC's, but luckily I found a way for it to work with Piper. One of the requirements stated that it could sound like a colour, and so I'm using that specific rule for her. Piper sounds a bit like purple (like how Blake sounds like black), and upon further research I actually found a colour called Piper, which is a sort of burnt red-orange that I can use as a fail-safe if the Piper/Purple thing doesn't work.
Here's the colour for the nonbelievers. So yeah, cleared that up with a nice little bow.
PMKN already follows the Team colour rule too, so bonus points for my creativity.

She supposed that leaders should get along with each other, and due to the amount of ecstatic energy from the day before school, she never got to properly meet the PMKN team leader. Here was her chance. Lilith was alone, at least. She was sure her team was catching up with their homework.
Lavender hues turned slightly at the mention of their owners name while she stopped in her tracks. Has she seen this girl before? Piper figured not, but how did she know her name? PMKN wasn't that popular, was it?
