headcanon 003.  dean’s favorite food in the world is spaghetti -- or as he calls it and has called it since he was a child, pasketti, sketi, sketties, and occasionally even pasketties. spaghetti is a naturally messy meal, but dean... dean takes it to the next level. he once found a noodle in his hair the next morning. it’s not pretty. he would, and has, gotten into a fist fight for the sake of a plate of pasketties.

headcanon 002. let’s talk appearances! a face claim is at most a good estimate for what an oc looks like, a visual, and not always totally accurate. that is especially the case with dean, a character i’ve had for years and never found the perfect face claim for. 

his hair color is actually a dirty blonde -- almost brown, but not quite. lighter in the summer, when the spotting of freckles on his nose and chest tends to come out. 

his eyes are hazel, unlike louis’ blue ones. 

he is much shorter than his face claim is; he stopped growing when he hit puberty and stands at 5 feet even. what he lacks in height, though, he makes up with in muscle. he isn’t ripped, but he keeps up.

“will there be food?” dean asks without missing a beat, face as hard as a line for a solid ten seconds before he breaks into a chuckle. “honestly, luce, do you even need to ask? of course i’ll be there. name the time and the place and i’m there.” cue a pause. “will there be food, though?”

     he wishes he could say he has never been in this situation before, but it is far from his first debacle on the highest ( climbable, that is ) branch right outside travis’ window; one would think that after seven times -- no, that after the first time -- he would have learned to use the door by now, you know, like a person, but that one would be sorely mistaken. “steady, steady...” he coaches himself in staggered breaths as he inches closer to the glass, heart racing in his chest as if it’s his first time; for him, it always is. when he reaches the window he holds the outside frame, pressing his face against the glass obnoxiously and just waiting for travis to notice. he will, eventually. he hopes that eventually is soon, though, because his backpack is seeming heavier and heavier. dirt clings to his face, his hands, and his jeans and he prays that he’ll just turn around already. he makes fishy faces ( as well as an assortment of other awful faces ) against the glass in the mean time. so what if it’s one in the morning?

she had just left the poultry section of the store with a cart filled with groceries, hoping to cook something nice for dinner later that day. “dean.”  she turned her head at the sound of a familiar voice. “oh my god. how are you?” she asked before extending her arms out for a hug. they had met at a party and hit it off before their paths failed to meet again. “of course i remember you. how could i not? you look amazing, by the way.” her gaze shifted to the large ring on her finger. “i settled down, i guess. this is my new home. but what about you? what’s gotten you tied down in this city or are you just passing through?” there were a thousand thoughts running through her head most which were about how glad she was to see an old friend.

dropping his cigarette to the ground, he extinguishes it with the step he takes to close the distance between them and he embraces adela with all he has; due to the height difference, he gets a face full of booby, but he’s certainly not complaining. has he ever? “me? fine as ever, i suppose. what about you? how are you, addy? man, i can’t believe it’s you. yeah? thanks!” he’s positively glowing -- even so, his attention quickly diverts to the ring on her finger and he gasps, eyes widening at her. “look at the size of that rock! what’s he like, huh? big business guy? oh, me? i landed a job in video game design, finally. you’re looking at a junior artist of v gaming. i suppose this place is as good as any other, nice white picket fences everywhere and all. the people here make ya wonder, though. we have got to catch up.”

         it was a bold offer, and gracie was considering it. dean was attractive – there was no doubt about that, and gracie would be lying if she said she hadn’t been considering his offer. with a coy smirk, she hopped down from the toilet seat and looped her fingers into her sweatpants. she dropped them to the floor, and instinctively started to peel her t-shirt off. “this is all you get at first,” she muttered. one hand opened the shower curtain slowly, and she stepped into the shower clad in a pair of underwear and a bra. “you have to take the rest off if you’re not scared,” she reached behind the boy for the shower head and allowed the water to wash over her, soaking what little clothing she had on.

     he isn’t certain whether or not he expects her to laugh him off or genuinely consider his offer, but when the latter turns out to be true he is pleasantly surprised; it shows in how wild and wide his grin stretches across his face, illuminating his expression as a whole. dean whistles obnoxiously in celebration as he’s joined and ducks so as to not obstruct her reaching the shower head, leaning against the shower wall with his arms crossed and eyes twinkling. “fair enough,” he decides, doing a little dance with his shoulders and cocking his head to the right -- he can’t help let his eyes wander as the water soaks what little clothes she has on left, can’t help but admire what he sees. with a final run through of his hair with his fingers he steps forward, eyebrows raised and gaze fixated on hers. “scared?” he laughs, almost offended that she’d suggest such a thing. “just who do you think you’re dealing with, grace?” gentle hands move around her to meet in the center of her back where the clasp of her bra rests. in a single motion dean undoes it, hands carefully guiding her arms through the loops ( he even holds the shower head for a comment to free her hand before returning it to her ) and he flings the wet garment overhead, where it will surely be found later. 

      he steps back to view what’s been uncovered and, while he would typically voice his thought of ‘nice boobies’ at this time, he finds himself pursing his lips and pointing out something else. “you know, i didn’t realize it until now but... even though we’re both naked now, my original problem was that i didn’t have a towel... which means you don’t either, and eventually this shower has to end, but... instead of one naked, wet person, we’re going to have two.”
