Dynamo Heroes is an urban fantasy action webcomic about a team of superheroes in a fantasy world.
When Dynamo, the magical protector of San Cosmos, goes missing; it falls to her rookie sister, a lone wolf vigilante, an ex-henchman and a criminal catgirl to fill her massive shoes and solve the mystery of what happened to her. Together, they are… the DYNAMO HEROES!!!

Some may notice I hadn’t made a newsletter for the end of Chapter 6, the reason for this was that I was way too burned out on the project and I did not want to be talking about it - I know I couldn’t without sounding too negative about the whole thing. Luckily I’m feeling much better about the whole thing, and now I am back up to the task of yapping about my thoughts and progress!
Not to mention the last time I published a newsletter we were just over 150 subs… half a year later and we’re over 260! It’s going much quicker than I thought! Hello everyone!
I decided to take a month-long hiatus over July for various reasons - mainly to build up a much needed backlog; I didn’t have a backlog at all and so was scrambling to get pages done the day they uploaded, giving me no breathing room! It was probably what pushed me to totally hate the project. I now have at least a month of uploads ready to go, so that’ll help a whole lot!! Plus some lovely comments on Tumblr and Webtoon that made the whole thing worth it is making me feel better about keeping going! I was seriously thinking of quitting, but I’ve decided to see this thing through till at least the end of arc 1!!!
Chapter(s) review (SPOILERS)
Chapter 6 was what I call an in-between chapter - something bridging the gap between plot points. Ch6 wrapped up the arc’s midpoint and Ch7 set up its finale - which we are swinging straight towards with Ch8 coming soon!! We got some proper character introductions with chapter 6 - most importantly Nova and Ansel, as well as villain Lullaby. Chapter 7 too was to flesh out both Shadow and Sunni, and get them closer - they’re a bonafide Team now! It was fun doing the jungle scenes and I hope to do some more weird visuals for more freaky dream stuff in the future.
Thoughts of the Future
I’ve been working on a Dynamo Heroes website, mainly where I can put all the extra bits and bops and thingamajigs I have amassed - like character profiles, a trading card sim, gallery, world stuff - all infodumped in one place. I don’t really have a way to actually display the comic on there without researching more RSS and JS stuff, which I need to read up on. I’m still working on like everything else for the site at the moment so it’ll be a long while till it’ll be live. [but check out the WIP screenshots I added, isn’t it so old web?? I love it so far!]
We are FOUR chapters from the end of the arc! We fully in the last third and things are about to ramp up!!!!! I’m so excited!!

Stats
For some reason I can’t view the total number of likes on Webtoon anymore? Not sure why, if anyone knows how to find them on the new creator dashboard please let me know! I guess either I’m dumb and can’t navigate the new dashboard, or Webtoon is putting emphasis on Super Likes and regular likes mean nothing to them. Well they mean everything to me Webtoon!! Let me view the stat!! Instead of likes I’ll put total no. of comments, because it at least lets me see that.
Dynamo Heroes is going on hiatus!! Just a lil summer holiday :) We'll be back August 3rd with the start of Chapter 8!! There are a couple reasons...
1 - I need a break :0
July is my birthday month so I'm taking this end of chapter opportunity to relax and enjoy the summer, take a break from making the comic for a lil bit
2 - I need to build a backlog!!
VERY important, I need to get a nice backlog up again - I really been slacking lately and it's harmed the comic's art :/ I want to be a few weeks ahead of myself so I'm not scrambling day of update to finish the page
3 - I'm joining Art Fight!!
I'll def post more about this but I'm joining Art Fight as usual! FIGHT ME! Can't wait!!
