Ignores the warehouse full of human bodies and mannequins in favor of wondering if the buildings have a central drain

Assumes the excessive amount of blood pooling out of a drain is probably just industrial chemicals mixed with water

Cleans out what’s obviously some sort of human flesh and fat but goes “man you wouldn’t believe what people put down their sinks, anyway it should work fine now”

Pisses off Megan (the stranger avatar) SO BADLY that she goes nonverbal and can only look on in shock and horror that her plan went down the drain this badly

And the very moment he DOES realize what’s happening, he immediately chooses to deck Megan in the face with a giant metal fucking toolbox. aces all around.

I actually kinda love Arthur's hate for cultists, because after learning that's what his parents were, it puts his behaviour into perspective. The intense, black and white thinking he has when it comes to cultists is so reminiscent of a child. It feels like the leftover perspective and beliefs of a hurt kid, that haven't been questioned or worked through yet. Usually Arthur is so good at critical thinking, not committing to a belief or hypothesis before it is proven. Malevolent has so many shades of gray, yet Arthur has no room for benevolence or benefit of the doubt, specifically when it comes to cultists.

john's limbs are just unnaturally cold compared to the rest of Arthur's body, he just lies that he has like.. poor circulation in that arm and people are like "huh that doesnt sound right but idk enough about circulation to argue"

I just imagine John's limbs being corpse cold and scaring Arthur by accidentally touching his side or neck.

anyway. “letting go” to me doesn’t mean siffrin has to forget about their country or stop trying to reconnect with their culture. it just means choosing to accept that it happened; finding a way to acknowledge it without letting the grief consume all of you (or in the king’s case, letting it destroy everything around you).

because you can’t live in the grief forever. and that doesn’t mean you don’t feel it, it doesn’t mean you don’t carry it — it’ll always be a part of you, and it’ll always hurt. you don’t have to leave it behind! but you have to have a life outside of the grief, too. you can’t go back. and it’s awful, and it’s not fair, but it’s already happened. it’s already done. you can’t turn back time.

you have to learn to live with it, and take whatever remains into the future with you. that’s the only way to live.

rare actual post on here ive been thinking about just abandoning this account and all my side blogs and starting over on a different account

i dont know if im going to. this is admittedly a cyclically occurring feeling and usually i push past it but i feel as if ive hit a wall. starting fresh really feels like it'd help but at the same time im afraid of what we may lose

I think some of the loneliness of autism is that you feel like you hurt people just by Interacting Wrong, but you don’t know how to Interact Right, and the more effort you put into it, the more exhausted you are and the more artificial it comes across (with the end result of people still being upset with you). and it’s not anyone’s fault for not liking Being Interacted With Wrong, and it’s not your fault for doing it so wrong, but it is very, very lonely.

This got me thinking way toooo hard. if the manager dropped Arthur and john off in camp here and there, how would everyone feel? (im sure someone has a much better developed au than i. but i dont gaf) HerE ARE MY THOUGHTS !!!!!

Sydneys very curious. very nice. appreciates thst another brisith person is here (the only one hes ever met is juniper. and he can’t tell if they’re all just like that.) jedidiah is VERY suspicious. points out how strange arthur acts. muttering to himself, not quite looking at people and all.

id like to think up and adam can hear john, and makes jokes about it in front of people that can’t hear him. makes everyone either very dubious of arthur or of adam. pick your poison!

Soren can definitely tell arthur’s died before, and grills him about it. arthur is just like!!! oh no!!! don’t ask me that!! Juniper is just happy he has another brit to talk to. and rowan is… friendly. (at some point, if arthur reveals hes blind, rowan’s just like. wait bro me too. and they kinda bond over that. also over their shared extreme anxiety.)

arthur and john are TERRIFIED of sydney btw. so scared. they act entirely normal around other people. but with sydney arthur always keeps his distance. acts skittish. yknow. this is cuz sydney’s dead!
