It seems like you've already gotten anons regarding the post "lessons I will teach" but I had saved the post long ago and today saw your url at the bottom, really needed to tell you how important it is to me even if it's a little repetitive at this point because few things keep me sane & that post & being honest as often as possible is a part of those things. Not only that but after I sent that first anon I read your profile. I love a lot of your work. It's awesome. I hope you keep going with it

No matter how many times you told called me your flower, Our love was doomed from the start. You held on to things too tightly for them to breathe. I thought I could live through the suffocation. I should have known by  the way you always bought me fresh flowers, You liked to watch things die.

There are only three answers in life. No matter the stage, trial, or triumph, you are on the path intended for you.  "Yes." You made it. You have arrived with everything you need. Welcome to the destination that you have been seeking. It is time for you to celebrate. This is the time your passion is fully realized and rewarded. The hard work is not over, but the preparation is done. You should be proud of this moment. Yes. "Not yet." Be patient. All in due time. You are in the right place, but you have arrived earlier than intended. This is the moment when your passion is tested. This is the moment when you need more preparation to be all that you were meant to be. You have arrived, but you left something on the path and you must turn back momentarily to pick it up. The hard work is not over, the preparation continues. You are missing one letter. You must look a little harder for your yes. "There is something better for you." Be patient. All in due time. You have stopped in the wrong place, but you are always on the right path. This is the moment when your passion is ignited. This is the moment when you begin the preparation to be all you can be. You have tried to make a destination out of a rest stop and the universe is pushing you on. This place had its worth, but it is time to move on.  Often, this may feel as if the universe is saying "no" Do not fear. There is no such thing as no. The universe is telling you that this place in life will limit you if you stay. This place in life was meant to push you along the way. The hard work is starting, the preparation begins. Yes is in disguise. It is there, but you are looking in the wrong place. We must stop looking at rejection as a no. The universe has not yet learned to gently push us along. Perhaps we have not listened when it has tried. The universe is never saying no. The universe is always taking you down the correct path. Some paths have more dangers than others, but each path leads to right place.  In all its eons it has yet to leave someone behind. Trust the universe. Trust the process.

You always said it's because he likes me. Pulling my hair  Throwing dirt Teasing He does it because of you It's been ingrained in me as long as I can remember. Cat-calling Workplace harassment Unwanted gestures and conversations It's all a compliment, right? Men's ideas are worth more, put first. But I have to be "nice" and "ladylike" You get use to the names Honey, sweetie, little lady  Subtle reminders to remember your place So when you asked me why I stayed  Through cheating, screaming, being unloved  I had to remind you  The world taught me that abuse was love  Then blamed me for not knowing the difference.

I watched my mother stay with a cheating husband for 12 years. She smiled as he came home at 8 from an office that closed by 5. I realized letting me sleep with her was an excuse not to look at an empty side of the bed. Sometimes, it was to separate her from a full side. I am almost sure my mother hadn't loved my father since I started school. I'd never say it, but I wondered if my little sister existed to make him stay ... or make her stay.  But I knew that as long as he came back home at night, everything was fine. Because that's what love is right? Coming back? I remember when he stopped coming back home at night.  I remember my mom got a house alarm that week, and it would beep when he left after the kids went to bed.  I never knew if it was to keep us safe, keep him out, or keep her in. I remember she cried when she told us he wasn't coming back.  I sat confused - this is what you wanted right? He got his own place and stopped coming home. That's when I knew the love was gone. Because that's what love is right? Coming back?

Sometimes I think I'm losing touch with reality. I talked about you in metaphors because it lessened the pain, But now I'm losing the true words. I try to describe my disgust and it still comes out like lyrics. Maybe it makes me feel like you're less dangerous, when I trap you in ink. I can always paint the abuse beautifully with words When you talk about hurt in a metaphor,  Comparing it to crushing a flower,  It seems almost tragically beautiful.  Torn rose petals, sound so much prettier than tearing out your hair. Wishing you could fly, so much better than wanting to jump off the roof of your building. Because we only like the tragedies when they're beautiful. We like the running mascara, but not the running nose. I can use a metaphor to make you care Because the words make it easier to digest. We should all be honest with ourselves. If poetry, was as ugly as the tragedy, No one would read it.

Hmm .. I’d love to know which poem this is in reference to! But I think I’ll take this as a compliment!
