Zoro occasionally sprouting flowers from his hair. He has no idea why this happens a d does not care enough to find out. Despite being his own little garden, Zoro has very little interest in plant. He knows nothing on the language of plants.

Robin knows. Robin knows all of his true feelings for members of their crew.

For some reason, some kids are at SDN and the team need to keep them entertained. They are running out of options as these kids have very short attention spans. Not even showing the kids the Mech in Royd's lab can keep their attention. Trying to think of something, Robert absently starts to flick things in the lab at Flambae. It's mostly shavings of metal, nothing that would hurt anyone. It is however, annoying. Flames flicker on Flambae's shoulders as he fights to keep his cool around the kids. A small shaving of copper flies into one of Flambae's flames, turning it blue/green.

It's over. The kids are now fully engrossed conducting a science experiment to see which bits of metal burn different colours. Flambae is not impressed.

Robert later brings strips of magnesium with him, to throw at Flambae if they ever need a very bright distraction on the field.

I like that the pairing of Robert and Flambae's pairing is called Flambert. It's goofy, I love it. I also love Mechabae, not as goofy but is cute.

I have another corny name that I can't decide who would get a kick out of using more. Who do you think would like the pairing name Rad more, Robert or Chad?

Working on a Water 7 Nami. I love that little blouse and skirt combo. So cute.

In a world filled with magic users, familiars are rare and sort after. Familiars amplify a magic users powers. The power boost depends on how strong the familiar is.

Judge, being the power hungry warmonger he is, turns his children into familiars. It works, his children fuel his magic. They fuel his powers, all except Sanji. Sanji is a familiar that is too weak to be of any use. He gives no boot in stamina or power for Judge. He is useless. Sanji is thrown away, where Zeff find him.

Zeff himself is not a magic user, but knows his stuff. He can tell there is something unique about his boy. Not quite a magic user, but definitely something not fully human. Zeff knows that he can't teach the boy in the way he truly needs, but that didn't mean he would leave Sanji defenceless. He trains Sanji how to fight, how to cook and how to survive the seas. Zeff hopes it's enough, for his boy to find a true teacher when he chases his dream.

One day a crew of magic users crash into his resturant. One of them takes a liken to his boy, ask Sanji to join their crew. Zeff smiles as they actually grow to like each other. Of course Sanji pretend that is not the case, but Zeff can tell. The Straw Hat kid then fight for them. For the Baratie at her crew. He fights for Zeff and Sanji. He almost drowns and Sanji's shape changes, order to save the kid.

Zeff had a familiar as a son. He should be worried for the boy, but Straw Hat and the others are a good bunch, they will treat Sanji right.

Sanji on the other hand is freaked out. He transformed, so that he could save Luffy. He had only been able to keep it up for about a minute, but he had transformed. He didn't think he was able to do that. He was a failure of a familiar. What the fuck was going on?

The longer he spends time with the Straw Hats, the more he was power he was able to lend them, like a battery. The longer he was able to hold a transformation his crewmates needed. He can never transform on his own, only when needed and only a form they need. The crew always seem apologetic when it happens, not understanding that as a familiar, it feels right to transform like that. Like putting a coat on when it's cold. It was comfortable. It was unbearable knowing that a magic user you lo- liked needed help, but was unable to support them.

It was only when the crew get separated for 2 years, does Sanji learn that familiar don't normally form magic bonds to more than 1 person. They don't normally have multiple transformations. Sanji was an anomaly amongst familiars. It made Sanji question what it felt like being a familiar. Being helpful to his crew had healed some of what he went through as a child. He wasn't a failure of a familiar. Then he found out he was still an anomaly, an experiment gone wrong and he spiralled.

It took a few years, but Sanji eventually learns to live being g a familiar. He learns that he is probably one of the most powerful familiars around, as he was so loved. The love from his magic users, gave him strength, which he happily gave back.

He's happy just the way he is.

Do other countries have a day nearly every year, where there are flying ants everywhere?

I don't think we've had ant day yet this year, maybe the heat hs something to do with it.

I need Zoro to have a nap. He has not napped since the start of Egghead. The crew are not safe until Zoro naps!

I'm worried about the crew 🥲 I will only be assured they are safe, when Zoro naps.

Simon thinking that he mutated into some fucked up eel hybrid, only for Grace to tell him he resembles a leafy sea dragon. He is still a fucked up merman now, but Simon finds comfort in knowing that he isn't an eel at least.

Zoro rolled the the string between his fingertips. It had become a grounding action, as of late. It was a reassurance. He may be losing his future, but he still had the present.

His red string was still there. It was tangible. He could feel it, see it. Even though his soulmate was fading, he wasn't gone yet. Curly was still with him. Sure, he wasn't really the love cook at the moment. Zoro could see no love in the man's eyes. Eyes that used to remind Zoro of the sky he would gaze up at, napping on the Sunny's deck. They reminded him of his home. Now those eyes were cold, unwelcoming.

The string was still there. His other half was still there. Even if Curly's eyebrow looked wrong. His hair was wrong. His smile. His food. The string was still there. Zoro's soulmate was still here. Zoro still had time. He hadn't lost everything yet.

"You're the only reason that shitty string is still there."

"Takes two to tango Curly."

"I don't possess the emotional capability required to break a soul bond. You are wishing on a dead star Zoro. The light might still linger for a while, but it's source is gone."

"I don't know, that sounded pretty poetic for someone with no emotions." The other man glanced at Zoro, expression indifferent. The swordsman sneered, pissed off at seeing it again for the hundredth time. It was getting old.

A sharp prickly sensation flooded his veins. Danger. No? There was no one here, why would he sense dang- oh.

Like a wire, the symbol of Zoro's love for his cook, was wrapped around his neck. Squeezing. Cutting of his airways, making it difficult to breathe.

"Fine. Continue to remain delusional until your dying breath." The string pulled tighter. Zoro could cut it. Cut the string and live. Zoro tried to pull it away from his neck. He couldn't. His vision grew spotty.

This was taking too long. Their was resistance. It wasn't a sick enjoyment of Zoro's slow death, this Curly couldn't feel any enjoyment in doing something like that. It had to be his Curly, still fighting. It had to be. His string was still wrapped around his finger, it still connected to precious hands of a cook.

The string was still there when Zoro later woke up, groggy from the effects of Usopp's sleeping bullet, thing. With Curly tied up, red string still at home on the man's finger, Zoro refused to entertain what he was told earlier. He had time still.

Moss Hanahaki!Zoro

got reminded of the hanahaki trope from this post's tags by @rubberducksuspicious and went on a small reference study spree! what if it's moss and not flowers? what if it clogs up his throat and lungs and mottles his skin? what if chopper can't figure it out?

Overworked and sleep deprived Chopper, accidently munching on Zoro's hair who's is passed out on the infirmary cot.

Sanji peaking through the porthole, almost chokes on a cigarette from trying to not laugh out loud and alert the pair.

Sanji fully mutates, the crew knock him out and take him to Lilith. They reverse the no feelings thing, but something funky happens when they try and reverse the exoskeleton. It sort of removes his skeleton and skin. Sanji becomes a beautiful slime monster.

Which of the Straw Hat's fighting style do you think is harder to animate?

Luffy's style probably has the most movement, but he is made out of rubber so his limbs don't need to stay in proportion. They can sort of go off model with him with put it looking too weird.

I would think Zoro and Brook's would be hard to animate, but they don't tend to have actually sword fight choreography for them often. Like, proper choreography. Most of the time, it would be blurred lines for the swords. Or they do the colourful aura smoke thing, impact frame and finishing stance. It sort of looks like a lot of movement is happening, but it's not actually the characters that are moving, but the effects. Which is a shame, as I really do like it when they animate proper sword fighting choreography. They are some of my faves, when they do it.

Nami and Usopp might be a bit easier, as most of their attacks are from a weapon. Nami doesn't often get choreography of fighting with her clima-tact that isn't just a swirl and bubbles popping out. I would love to see her use it more like a staff every now and then.

I'm not sure about Franky and Jinbei. They have complicated details, that I imagine would be hard to keep on model when fighting. I'm not sure about their actual fighting style.

I imagine Robin is really hard, with all the limbs they would need to draw.

Would Chopper and Sanji be some of the hardest to animate? Their attacks are based on a lot of movement. Close combat movement. They are also not made of rubber, so animators would need to keep limbs and stuff in proportion.

I wonder who is the hardest to animate in the whoe series. Maybe the giants, cause you need to translate how big and heavy they are🤔

I like the theories coming out at the moment regarding weapons. They are fun to read/listen.

I've seen people mention Excalibur and would love to see that appear in One Piece. Mostly as I am curious how Oda would interpret it. Will he include a Lady of the Lake?

Also seen people comparing the way Imu withdraw weapons to weapon wheels in games. Some theorising that the weapons are not the same as ones in the throne room as they are decayed. I like that idea. Maybe it's the will of the original weapon that still persists and Imu is able to give that will a physical form or something. (Sort of like the weapons you can find from the shadow soilders in the depths from TOTK) That could be cool.

Imagine if Zoro was able to pull out Yubashiri some how.

I don't understand when people state there has been no character development with the Straw Hats post time-skip. What do you mean?!

Just watch/read how they interact with others and compare it to the start of the story. Just because it's not announced to the viewer/reader doesn't mean it's not there.

Development can be a negative by the way. It can be a character regressing to hurtful mindsets. It's still a development, a change.

Coughanxious Zorocoughcough

One thing I love about Usopp, is that he is a sniper. He is comfortable fighting at a distance, he excels at it. Which makes the moments where he gets up close in a fight, mean so much to me. That is some of his bravest moments. Mr 4 and Pernona are amazing fights. My favourite moments though, are when Usopp puts himself in front of a threat, to protect his crew. He put himself in front of Zoro at Sabaody and in front of Brook in Elbalf. He is so fucking brave here. He knows he can't fight up close, yet he still choses to protect the people he cares for.

People complain that Usopp doesn't snipe enough, but don't take it to account what it means for him to act, without snipping!

Throwing out a One Piece theory that is probably wrong, but here we go.

So the man marked by flames, I think it would be cool if he damaged the core of the Secret Weapon, Imu used a part of the Mother Flame to power. Maybe it had an original energy source, that the man destroyed and the 2 Elders had been looking for a replacement since. Maybe a loved one was the enrgy source and he was burnt freeing them. (Like Kida in Atalantis)

Again, probably wrong. I am also too lazy to go back and read anything that may have alreadydisproved me.
