At the end of June, The Pokémon Company International announced Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions, a special live orchestral concert tour showcasing memorable music from throughout the history of the Pokémon franchise, and featuring all-new musical orchestral arrangements. With only a month to go until the first Symphonic Evolutions concert in Washington, DC on August 15th, exclusive concert preview tracks have been posted to YouTube, with more previews set to be revealed over the coming days. These preview tracks are of early demo versions of the final songs, so you can expect them to sound even better live in concert.

Tickets for the Washington, DC concert on August 15th can be purchased from Livenation, starting from $50. Tickets for the concert in Philadelphia on September 19th are also available from Ticketmaster. Additional touring locations and dates are yet to be announced, and we’ll keep you posted here on Bulbanews once those become available. The concert organizers have encouraged fans to come along in cosplay, and to bring along their 3DS consoles and Trading Card Game decks for battles both before and after the events.

The 2014 Pokémon World Championships opens in Washington, DC the day after the first Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions performance, and tickets for this concert are likely to sell out fast. Be sure to get in early to guarantee your seats.

The Pokémon Company Internatinoal has announced a special orchestrated tour in North America. This series of concerts will provide various orchestratinos of Pokémon music from all generations: Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue, Pokémon Yellow, Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver, Pokémon Crystal, Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire, Pokémon Emerald, Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl, Pokémon Platinum, Pokémon Black and Pokémon White, Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. Two dates are given at this time, but more are to be added. Tickets can be purchased via ticketmaster for those venues August 15 – Washington, DC Warner Theater September 19 – Philadelphia, PA Mann Center

Game decompilers have discovered Gary’s theme music hidden in the coding of X and Y, which is once again remixed from the original Red and Blue soundtrack. This music will be the theme for final battle of VGC World Championships.

[8bit] Battle! Champion Steven | Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire

Steven was my frist love*cough* Popular demand on my music blog, Poke-Radio, called for my next 8bit cover to be a battle theme from Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire! Though I love all the battle songs from R/S/E, Steven’s theme is probably my top favorite. Doing the into part to the song was so hard though x_x It’s difficult to hear out each of the notes when they fly by so fast.

[8bit] Battle! Wild Pokemon | Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire

The more 8bit covers I do from R/S/E, the more I like the idea of doing the whole soundtrack. I was actually working on Fortree City, but I got frustrated with the bass line and the swing rhythm as a whole that I set it aside to do this instead.

I hope you enjoy!

I think it’s becoming pretty apparent that I’m fairly committed to doing a complete 8bit cover of the whole RSE soundtrack. And since the battle themes in this game are among my favorites throughout the WHOLE Pokemon series, I’ll start from there! If that’s the case…. That leaves about…… 5 more battle themes or so?
