Let It Snow - PKW Event
Recently, you've begun to hear rumors around the towns you've been in. At every Pokemon Center, there's someone talking about it. At Cinnabar Island, people are claiming to have seen a blue bird with a luminescent tail flowing behind it like a ribbon. It hasn't ventured close enough to the island for anyone to be sure what it is, but people whisper that it must be some kind of legendary pokemon, to be so beautiful and mysterious. It's only hearsay, but there's talk that it must live somewhere in the Seafoam Islands, hidden enough to have not been discovered until venturing out now. There are a lot of trainers who say they want to catch it, but you know you want to see it for yourself first.
If it really is a legendary pokemon, you know you can't defeat it alone. Trainers are gathering in Cinnabar, all hoping to be the one to find and tame the mystifying bird. You'll have to partner up with one in order to make sure you're both safe(r) if you end up running into a legendary pokemon. Together, maybe you could even take it down.

Hello, everyone! It's time for pokeworldrp's first event! To start us off, we're going to give you the chance to earn yourself a legendary; can you guess which one based off the description above? It's okay, we'll tell you anyway—you now have the chance to encounter Articuno! 'Tis the season, and Articuno will be roaming around the Seafoam Islands and the surrounding waters for a few weeks. Team up with a partner, and see if you can defeat it! You cannot catch it, but if you defeat Articuno, you will be able to find its nest, if you so wish. And lucky you, there are two eggs inside, one for each of you!
In order to defeat Articuno, you will need to complete one thread about searching for Articuno in which each roleplayer contributes at least 500 words. You do not have to include the actual battle, but it should contain some part of the search for the legendary. Send it into the masterlist, and you will be awarded an Articuno egg! We tell you the prize ahead of time so that you can incorporate that into your thread if you so wish, but you do need to send the thread to the masterlist in order to be eligible to receive an egg. We recommend creating a page specifically to keep track of events, as we will be having more of them in the future, and you can show off your legendaries there! (:
This event will last for two weeks, so until January 6th. Your thread may continue until after this date, but it must begin between now and then in order for you to get an egg. After January 6th, Articuno's eggs will hatch, and it will wander off elsewhere in order to care for its young, so no new threads may be started.

What are the rules regarding in character games/activities, such as Mafia, Board Game Online, watching movies IC, etc.?
These games are allowed, and can be a lot of fun for everyone involved! However, we would like to make note of a few things:
Please make games available to everyone; post them on the dashboard, let people join in if they’re interested! Organizing via the skype group or other social media is nice to get things started, but always post it on the dash if you’re considering it PKW canon.
Since games are available to everyone, please keep them PG-13, as with the skype group.
And if you would like for the games to be canon, everyone in-game needs to agree that it will be canon. If you’re referencing a specific incident (say, a shorter interaction with two characters in the middle of the game), you may confirm with just your partner and post a log on the dash.
Even with logs, games do not count as activity. We want to encourage more interaction in the pokemon setting, which is very limited within games. However, you can play as many games as you’d like as long as you’re also posting IC!
We may even host things such as IC movie night or chatzy from the masterlist as mini-events, so keep an eye out for those!
