I love the forests 😍
I've been reflecting a lot on my personal growth in the past few years and I noticed just how much my tolerance for violent and frightening content went down.
And I feel like that's good. I feel more like myself and... I am starting to question just how obsessed the human society is with violence and darkness. I went through a lot of trauma in my life, a lot of pain and I feel like instead of hardening, I got more compassionate.
I especially noticed that I... don't really like Lord of the Rings at all anymore. I used to be a big fan as a teen but now... just hearing about the franchise is kinda unpleasant to me. Tolkien wrote his books as a WW1 allegory and reading them now and rewatching the Peter Jackson movies... the world is so gloomy and depressing and the more I think about everything, the more dread I feel about the way his world works.
And that's okay, we can all enjoy different things. I greatly respect Tolkien for his attention to detail and contribution to the fantasy genre but it's not my thing.
And I'm proud that I didn't harden like many other trauma survivors, that my heart stayed soft. Even if realizing that means I had to let some things and interests from my past go.
Seems like I caught a little fairy in my garden hehe :3
Happy 20th anniversary, Elder Scrolls Oblivion!
Just some selfies :3
Trying to do wireframe renders in Blender :P
I've recently been totally obsessed with Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The past few years have been quite rough for me mentally and Oblivion just feels so therapeutic. The world is beatiful and so serene, the lore and worldbuilding is top notch.. I absolutely love it. Plus I do get to live out my fantasy as a wood elf adventurer :p Once I finish this game and the DLCs, I wanna move to Morrowind next. I think I have a new obsession :p
Went for a nice small bike trip by the dam. It was nice.
Christmas vibes <3
Decided to recreate Max's contest photo hehe
Shooting my SX70 again :D
Quite possibly my last roll of Fuji Provia ever. I love shooting slides, truly... but it's sadly only a matter of time before Fujifilm discontinue even their E6 stocks and the E6 processing is so hard to find and so expensive these days... But hey, I guess I went out with a bang.
First time shooting a Polaroid SX70 <3
Some 110 format goodness. <3 Pentax 110 Pentax-110 24mm F2.8 lens Lomography Tiger 110 color film (basically just Kodak Gold in 110) I absolutely love this tiny camera. It's such an overkill for such a small and low res film format. A fully featured 110 format program mode SLR camera with interchangeable lenses. And those glass lenses even have high quality coatings and really nice optical design heh.
I'll never get over how great this game still looks 17 years later :O
Be kind to your inner child
Just because you're over 18 doesn't mean you have to stop doing the stuff you enjoyed as a kid. Buy yourself a toy, get yourself some ice cream, play... nobody prevents you from doing so. We don't stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing.
