Alexios Assassin’ s Creed Odyssey Concept Art

Back in 2016, I worked on Assassin’ s Creed Odyssey, as a character concept artist. My second AC after Syndicate. And again it was a blast to work under the art direction of Thierry Dansereau. Many concepts were done by many artists, for Alexios, one of the heroes you can play in the game. Here are a selected few. From exploration sketches to final illustrations. I think it is important to show many aspects of the process involving concept production, so that upcoming artists can fully understand the scope as well as understanding the importance of having drawing and painting skills when working on a project where the use of photos or 3D is very limited. As you can see i am not precious with my concepts. Most of the rough ones here are produced really fast. It can go from 25 mins to an hour. So, some of the line ups are done in one morning. Some clients expect 1 or 2 updates per day. Better deliver. And if you are a freelancer? Be Quick or Be Dead.
