none of the arguments against zelink sharing the house has managed to convince me otherwise.

what if he gifted it to her? where does he sleep.

he’s traveling too much! he was literally her personal guard. whether or not you believe zelink is romantic, link cares about zelda. he’s gonna leave her alone, without protection?

zelda has the well because she wants a break! if they’re not sharing the house, why can’t she use the house instead?

but the neighbors! ignoring the “it’s a game mechanic,” it’s possible it’s hard for the neighbors to merge the image of That One Guy Who’s Very Helpful and the princess’s knight. (or it’s been a while since link’s been in town and they’re choosing to be good citizens and tell this totally knew person what’s going on) (OR or they think link lost his memory again lmao)

This. The traveling idea especially makes little sense, and often people will say that and the "just his duty" take in the same breath, even though him just up and abandoning her would be in direct violation of his duty.

And for the last one I honestly believe that (outside of having an actual meta game design purpose) it's meant to be a running joke, because even at the beginning of the game, people think Link isn't the Link:

This happens throughout the game, often. Npcs do not think Link is the Link, Zelda's swordsman and the Hero of Hyrule. They think he's just a random blonde traveler. This is why they talk to him the way they do, why they explain who his own friends are to him. Dialogue like this just happens way too much for it to not be a deliberate writing choice.

There are even cases where there are conditions you need to fulfill first in order to be recognized. With the stables, it depends on save data transfer of your botw horses, and with the monster control crews, it depends on if you keep the Master Sword equipped when talking to them (I need to confirm it, but I hear that if the sword needs recharging from the battle or you unequip it, they suddenly won't recognize Link anymore in the next conversation). All of this implies that without the Master Sword and Zelda with him, people just do not recognize Link's identity outside of important characters.

Lance listens to CDs because there’s nothing else for him to do, he lives under the floorboards. Hunk always visits and leaves out food for Lance because he misses him.

I feel like I’m going insane every search result I try there’s NOTHING. I don’t know if it’s been deleted. Help pls

there is nothing i want more than bi Imogen.

the girl who liked nick, sad about getting rejected. she suddenly starts realizing her own feelings toward girls. she doubts herself, because she JUST liked nick. then she thinks about it, and remembers hearing that nick came out as bisexual. she goes to nick, her close friend, and asks for help. nick gives back reassurance and advice that he never had.

it could be such a full circle experience for nick, and it would give him a lovely bi friend
