Not every love is meant to shake you
I always wonder, and sometimes get asked, how do you really know someone is the right person for you?
Some say it’s in the grand gestures. The flowers, the surprises, the movie-like kind of love. Some say it’s when they choose you instantly, when they’re willing to give you everything, even pieces of themselves.
But I don’t think love was ever meant to look the same for everyone.
I think sometimes, love is much quieter than that.
It’s when you’re walking through a grocery store and see their favorite snack and smile without realizing it. When a random song, a certain street, or even the color of the sky reminds you of them. When your first instinct after hearing good news is wanting to tell them first.
I think the right person makes life feel softer.
Not perfect. Not always easy. Just softer.
You feel at peace instead of constantly questioning where you stand. You stop feeling like love is something you have to chase or earn. Their presence starts to feel like home in the middle of an exhausting world.
Because love shouldn’t feel like standing at the edge of a cliff all the time, terrified of falling.
Maybe real love is when you finally stop fearing the fall because somehow, with them, it feels safe to land.
You don’t just fall in love with the right person.
You fall gently into them.
