There's something soothing about the older man's presence. The deep rumble of his voice, the grace of his movements. It reminds the architect of gentle waves rolling on the shore, and those wise eyes are a reminder of the power that lay just beneath that inviting surface. An especially sharp one, when the notion of his injuries is addressed.
That is why Kaveh lowers the hand he'd been about to raise, opting to clear his throat instead of giving another dismissive wave as he'd been planning.
"You really don't have to go to so much trouble..." His gaze drifts to the people still working to rebuild their home, like he feels guilty for taking even a second's breath when they are still toiling away. "... but very well. I would be in remiss to ignore a direct request from the Iudex himself."
Yet rather than move towards the healing tents, he kneels down, attention focused on the suitcase tucked beside the table.
"Might as well kill two birds while I'm ordering stone... Mehrak?" It whirs to life with a cheerful little beep-boop, parts shifting to reveal a pair of bright green digital eyes. "Would you mind... ugh. Fetching Dori for me? Let her know I'll take her up on that healing offer, and show her the layout we settled on for the upgrades to Sumeru's ports to handle the stone... oh, and let her know I won't haggle her prices further. I don't think we can much afford to."
The blonde scratches the side of his head as he rises, Mehrak zipping off to do as he's asked.
"I won't have you putting your healers out, but I'm in enough debt to mine that I might as well cash in the favor." Debt he only intends to add to, already working deals to benefit the desert dwelling population and the people of Fontaine. They both have need of wood and stone, and establishing a trade route for sorely needed materials means all parties benefit... except the man funding it, knowing full well that the coffers of both nations were rather low thanks to the tumult they'd both encountered. "... Truthfully, your Honor, I think most of Teyvat is in the same state... though, Fontaine suffered far more structural damage than the other's I've seen. Liyue no longer has an Archon, Mondstadt besieged by their own guardian gone mad, Inazuma's deity ripping Visions from her own people, and Sumeru... well, I suppose all things considered we got off lucky. But the foundations our world was built on seem to be coming apart..."
A pause, then a sudden rush of words as he realizes how easily he could be misunderstood. "I-I don't mean this as a dismissal or a trivialization of your troubles, quite the opposite really. It's times of crisis like this that heighten people's empathy and make things like borders seem... small. We know we must rebuild, and each act of destruction feels like... a renewal. An opportunity to build it all back better."
