We always say, “ninja are like a family”. But ninjas (with a few caveats) do have parents too.

That’s why I like the idea that (at least between seasons 2 and 3) they would get together with their parents from time to time.

I have a feeling that, before Zane regained his memory (or perhaps even afterwards), he felt the need every night, without realising why, to check whether his friends were still alive. Because even though he couldn’t remember, subconsciously, the aftermath of his father’s death still lingered.
