Walloon Sword
Dated: beginning of the 17th century

Measurements: overall length 99cm, blade length 87cm, weight 0.95
The hilt is typical of the Walloon swords with two large side-rings filled with two plates, one pierced with small holes and the second plain with a large thumb-ring on the reverse. The knucklebow has an expanded central section, joining a large ovoid pommel. The sword features a large scrolled single quillon, braided iron wire-wrapped grip and a flat blade ending with a rounded tip.
