Hello ! I realized I had never introduced myself...

So welcome on my blog !

My name is Tsubaki (椿), living in Tokyo 🗼!

This blog is mainly for sum-ups about D.Gray-man. I am mostly active on Twitter (@/ponkotsuuublues). 

I post sum-ups in English of interviews, news about D.Gray-man and Hoshino Katsura. For instance, I write in English Instagram Posts, Threads posts, interviews, live streams, etc.

My main goal is to make accessible information about D.Gray-man. I have always thought it was unfair for international fan to not have access to some contents because of the language barrier even though it was free and accessible to everyone.

You can speak with me in Japanese, English, French and Spanish ! If you want me to sum-up anything, please do not hesitate to ask !

Beware that I do not translate scans or manga raws. I am not a translator.

I don't mind people translating my contents in other languages or reposting them, but please credit me

SQ. RISE 2026 SUMMER will be released on July, 30th, in Japan, with a new D.Gray-man chapter.

I feel like this time, they really centered the menu of Alice in Wonderland, and not on the characters ahaha. It's a bit sad we don't get other characters contents, like Lenalee (or Mana lol) but that's the way it is !

I also feel the organisers messed up (again) and they mistook Camelot for Road's name lol.

You're probably referring to these cards, aren't you ?

These cards are Animate-exclusive design bonus cards, which came as a present when you bought the magazine at Animate. Sadly, you can get them at Animate anymore since it's outdated...

The good news is :

It happens they will be available in the next RISE issues !

Last issue, in spring 2026, for every physical copies of SQ. RISE 2026, you could get a bonus shining card of Allen with the exact same design. The bad news is : Allen's turn has already ended, so you can't get it anymore. You could still try to find SQ. RISE SPRING 2026, it should not be impossible... next issue will be Kanda, by the way!

So, first solution : buy SQ. RISE from next issue, and you'll get Kanda, then probably Lenalee and Lavi for the next issues.

Other solution : second-hand ! I am pretty sure Mercari, the Japanese ebay, is full of them, scalpers must be reselling it....you should go on Mercari and write : dグレアニメイト特典 (D.Gray-man Animate bonus) and アレン(Allen), 神田 (Kanda), リナリー(Lenalee), Lavi (ラビ).

I can’t guarantee the price...but you should find it!

A new D.Gray-man collaboration has been announced for this summer:

Reservations will open on June 19th at 5:00 PM (Japan time) on a first-come, first-served basis.

Now can I just say something? I am very happy we are getting new merch, but like...20 000 yen for a picture which had been used 8276 times for merch, slapped on a framework with some dry flowers ? As you may know, SQ. JUMP, the monthly magazine, which also covers SQ. RISE (in which D.Gray-man is serialised 😉) is organising its yearly events at Jump shops, where they will be selling new merch. Here is the D.Gray-man lineup.

About your question: so, this art has been made by one of Hoshino's assistant for a volume omake page. To be honest, I HAVE NO IDEA, i am so sorry 😭😭😭

Lenalee has shorter hair during the battle in the Ark, but the spikes reminds me of Road. Also, when you look at the clothes, it looks more like Road's dress (the white one) than Lenalee's top, because Lenalee doesn't have shoulder straps...But I have no idea, sorry 😢

If anyone has an idea, let me know in the comments !

[GUIDE] HOW TO GET LEGALLY AND BUY D.GRAY-MAN NEW CHAPTER (30/01/2026)

Hello everyone,

With the new D.Gray-man chapter release yesterday, I received a lot of questions on how to buy the chapter to read it legally.

Buying the chapter is the best way to support Hoshino Katsura and D.Gray-man. You may not know, but in Japan, a popular manga can get axed if the sales are too low, so it's absolutely essential to buy the magazine.

You get the chapter at the exact time of its release. No need to wait for the raws to come out!

You support directly the author and the series

It only costs around 700¥, so less than 4€! And it's only once every three months!

So, how to buy it ?

I personally use an app called "Bookwalker", made by KADOKAWA, a famous editor in Japan. They have an app and a website.

1)Download the "Bookwalker" app on PlayStore/Apple store

You can also go to their global website (In English!) :

2)Create an account

You can use your Google or Facebook account to get in, or create your own Bookwalker account.

(I am using the JP version but the global version is in English)

Enter your informations, and now, you have an account! Everything is in English, it should be easy.

I strongly advice you to also enter your paiement informations right away, you'll understand why later.

3) Look for SQ.RISE (the D.Gray-man magazine)

⚠️Here is the tricky part.⚠️

The chapter won't come out if you just tap "D.Gray-man" on the research bar. You have to look for "SQ.RISE", the magazine in which D.Gray-man is published.

SQ. RISE is only available on the Japanese version. Yeah, I know. It's stupid. BUT, you have access to the JP version with your global Bookwalker account. It just means the site will be in Japanese

In the research bar, look for "SQ. RISE".

Then, you'll arrive to this page :

When you click on the magazine, you'll have all the recent issues appearing. Just click on the one you want (the latest one is on the left!)

4) Buy the magazine

Click on the "今すぐ購入" (buy now), on the left. The right option is "put it in the cart", if you wanna keep on shopping more.

Beware, if you click before the release time, you'll get this screen :

"予約する" means "to pre order". If you click on that screen, the magazine will download automatically the moment it releases.

5) Payment

Time to pay! Click on the middle option "全額登録したクレジットカードで今すぐ購入" (pay everything with credit card)

As you'll have noticed, you're on the JP version of the website, so everything is in Japanese. That is why I strongly advise you enter your credit card informations on your English account so you don’t have to do it in Japanese when you buy the magazine.

And now you have bought the magazine!

6) Reading time!

Click on "Read now" (読む) to read it from the internet page or "Read in the app" (アプリで読む) to read it on the application !

Now, you'll have the magazine!

When you open the magazine, on the second page, you'll have the summary, so you know on which page is D.Gray-man new chapter!

For instance, on this picture, D.Gray-man is page 453.

And that's all!

I know it might sound a bit complex, but I really encourage you to buy magazine. It is the best way to support D.Gray-man so it can continue.
