The version you've probably been seeing - and the one people have seen credited to me - is just my interpretation of the character as part of a revamped version of the old au that I've been developing for well over a year now and got permission from the original creators to do lmfaoo. Which is mostly evident by the designs being different as well as the fact that the original antihomestar used to be portrayed as a human person while mine doesn't. At this point, it's very much its own thing and is completely separate from what havoc creations was putting out 20 years ago. if not... admittedly... more fleshed out.... kek
The original AntiHomestar from 2006–2009 or whatever is OBVIOUSLY not mine, and I've never claimed that he was. Anyone saying that I have, or that I somehow "stole" the character, is just lying lol I've always been very clear that the original character predates my involvement by a long shot, and I've never tried to take credit for the original creators' work.
I think a lot of the confusion comes from the fact that the fanfic that originally popularized him is lost media and most people nowadays only know my version from the random scraps of content ive shared (which is especially funny because a lot of that ended up getting lost too after I accidentally deactivated my old Tumblr. keeek)
So if some people ended up assuming that I created the character, I honestly don't blame them. If you're unfamiliar with the original AU, there isn't exactly a wealth of surviving material out there to reference. Most of what people can actually find nowadays either comes from my reinterpretation or from secondhand discussions about the original.
So, tl;dr: I don't own "AntiHomestar" or the original AU he came from. What I do own is my version of him—the specific interpretation, characterization, designs, lore, and development work that I've put into him. Hopefully that distinction makes sense lmfaoo
