PONYO Drink // 崖の上のポニョ いんりょう

✨comfort drink✨

- Honey

- Cinnamon

- Milk

- Water

1. Add two teaspoons of honey and a pinch of cinnamon in your mug

2. Pour boiling water till the half way mark

3. Add warm milk on top and stir

Serve warm!

Creator's tip: This recipe tastes great without milk as Tea and is a great substitute for Coffee

you can reach your dreams. you can find that sunlit apartment with the perfect kitchen for dancing with someone you love. you can adopt a cat and give it an overly long fancy name and shower it with love. you can open that bakery or that bookstore or that coffee shop and make it an environment you always envisioned. you can find your person. turn your yearning to reality. you can make it through the pains and the unknowns and the rough parts and finally achieve the dreams that helped you through.

Studio Ghibli + Holding Hands

the nostalgia of only yesterday (1991)

all studio ghibli movies seem to have the nostalgia factor, but ‘only yesterday’ fully immerses you into the protagonist’s memories with flashbacks when she was in fifth grade… and when the film pulls you back into the present, there isn’t too much dialogue, but the sounds of grass rustling, tires on wet pavement, plucking of saffron, and rumble of the train… it lets you breathe and absorb in the flashbacks from before. The conscious effort of placing dialogue and background sounds in the right places makes ‘only yesterday’ the best film to watch when you want to reminisce in the childhood memories you keep stored away.

and honestly, when i watched this, it made me realize how much i've grown since i was in fifth grade :)

their actions speak louder than words, eyes traveling through time, they search for nothing lost but find gems among the sky, a collector of journeys and new directions, they are the sounds of cicadas and the glowing lights of fireflies on a summer night

they pelt through rain and snow, piercing needles as determined eyes, they wish for peace but will fight for it, mesmerizing like ripples on a pond, they are the wings of a moth blending in their surroundings and spreading them when the time is right

they have the spirit of cackling fire, flying over oceans for pure curiosity, they tip-toe over the edge hunting for more answers, the thrill and familiarity of riding the subway, they are the gradient colors of a dragonfly entering the night

they carry themselves with subtle elegance, arriving before the clock strikes the next hour, they long for unity but welcome a hurricane, gleaming eyes seeing through the heart, they are a butterfly’s kiss in the colder months of springtime

how nice that would be, especially so when their happiness equates to my own; even if it seems a little foolish and selfless. if i could put a smile to your face, it would put a smile on mine as well, so i hope my pieces bring a sense of happiness (albeit small) to your lives.

What about types of people as antagonistic ghibli relationships?? Like San and that lady... who's name I forgot. Or maybe a Ghibli bold what applies? Idk just something to think about.

ooo this sounds interesting… the dynamic between the protagonist and antagonist of ghibli movies are so intriguing!! it’s not a complete hate relationship because the antagonists are usually in the morally grey zone
