The crab hole theory

The crab bucket theory is a story about how crabs when put into a bucket won’t let each other leave the bucket. The idea is that we are the same way and will hold each other back from achievement when we can’t achieve. Crab hole is the same idea out in the wild not constricted to a confined space. A crab digs a whole looking for food. Another crab stumbles into the whole. Neither crab can allow the other to leave the hole like it is a bucket but the crabs can still move and can expand the hole. As hole grows wider more crabs fall in, and the deeper the hole grows the harder and more dangerous it becomes to leave. Eventually crab actively go into the hole because of how grand it is and because of all the other crabs in the hole. They start really working to expand the hole in hopes that it will consume everything or the will dig up something worth while at the bottom. The growth of the hole will meet resistance, the crabs in the hole will make a mistake, and the winds of change will come. Eventually the hole will collapse, burying the crabs inside.
