PORTENTORUM: PRODIGY, OMEN, MONSTER
Indie, private, & selective rp blog for Andrew Minyard from The Foxhole Court / All For The Game series. Written by Dusty.
hey 👋 poking my head in to say i am still here, i have not abandoned this blog. i'm in my senior year of college so i have a lot on my plate as graduation approaches, so don't expect to see me for another few weeks 👍
fucked around and made a wscvhole ass edit. my first attempt in making smthn like this and it took me like 5 hours so. if u like it pls do tell me so! a.ftg bianca never leaves my brain.
i'm guessing that in this instance, it needed surgery due to breaking through the skin, because andrew threw himself into a fight immediately afterwards and i imagine that might have exacerbated the injury just a bit.
doing research. apparently broken clavicles only need surgery in 5-10% of cases.
i haven't quite finished reading yet and i know just how much can happen in only a couple chapters in these books but t.gr interactions. there's so much here i would love to dig into. i'm losing my mind. if you've read the book, imagine i am making grabby hands at you.
hey guys 🧍
i have finally finished reading t.sc and am now reading t.gr!
Create a monster, and I will show you your reflection
The Carrion Crow
Born of blood, born of bone. Born of a witchling left alone. Born of hate and hurt and strife. Born of a wasted, bitter life. Raised in boots that tramp through mud. Raised in lives that never could. Raised in bullet and blade and wire. Raised in homes set to the fire. Shaped by battle, pain, and war. Shaped by bodies, soulless and raw. Shaped by a life lived for the fight. Shaped by the urge to do what's right.
023, the back of an empty bus. + ❛ fine. you were right, and i was wrong. happy now? ❜ -> @fospherus (Neil)
Andrew hears Neil board the bus but only bothers to tear his eyes away from the window when he slides into the seat beside him. The rest of their skulk is outside stretching their legs, but they'll be back before long.
He raises an eyebrow ever-so-slightly and leaves ‘I told you so’ unsaid. No point in redundancy.
Instead, he just holds out a hand for his winnings.

i consider andrew to be loveless. he didn't experience love growing up so it just doesn't mean anything to him now and is therefore not a concept he applies to himself. he defines his feelings and relationships in his own way.

two days until t.sc audiobook....
interesting note about his knives: he will not actually use the ones in his armbands. they belonged to his best friend, an ex-gang member who converted to christianity after leaving, and andrew stole them out of her closet after she told him she used them to kill a man who raped and stalked her. he holds onto them so she doesn't have to have that reminder of her past lying around, and she lets him because she trusts him not to use them.
is your muse opposed to violence?
absolutely not. he killed his biological mother, almost beat four men to death as a teenager, and has sheaths built into his arm bands so he can carry knives with him at all times. he is very unopposed to violence, and has intentionally built a reputation for it.
andrew is, above all else, a protector. he protects the people he cares about by any means necessary, and violence is useful to him because it works. it's often the only thing that works. he learned growing up that people will not help him. they will not stop when he tells them to stop, they will not believe him about what happened, they will not protect him. if he wants something done, he has to do it himself, and violence is often the most effective way of getting things done. plus, if he's known to be violent and erratic and dangerous, people are less likely to mess with him or the people he considers to be his.
