Adam Lempel and the Heartbeats - Echo
From where I sit, Baltimore has an enviably tight knit art and music scene. Here, Adam Lempel put together a crew of his talented local friends to produce a beautiful song with the depth of character of the hard-scrabble town. “It is definitely a more pop direction than my other band Weekends, but who doesn’t have a sweet tooth?” he tells me. “The vocals are by Amanda Glasser of The Silent Whys and there’s cello by Kate Barutha of Softcat. It’s produced by Chris Freeland (Wye Oak / Lower Dens) and the cover art is by Brian Blomerth aka Narwhals of Sound.”
Find this song on the forthcoming digital and cassette release from, who else, Baltimore’s Friends Records.
