It still seems crazy I moved to Alaska 2 years ago, bought a house and completely settled in to the Alaskan lifestyle. After a full year there though, I ended up splitting my second year back in San Francisco, duty called, didn’t last long I guess. In the independent creative career and freelance world, life seems to go in unexpected ways, for good and bad. You have to adapt and follow to work and passions you want to be involved in, while also not completely burning out (like I did). . As much as I wish Alaska had more of a full time work load for me, In the Bay Area I get to work with a ton of amazing clients and on some pretty awesome projects with other creatives. I will always have my place in Alaska and will be jumping back and forth as much as possible, while also still seeking projects there, as there are definitely some great opportunities still. . It’s definitely hard to leave and avoid a place that is so dang beautiful with so much to do! I love San Francisco equally and some how have made this work and made it cheaper then when I use to live here, so I guess I’ll try to live the best of both worlds! For now at least.
