Happy New Year!!!! 2015 has arrived and it only makes sense as the New Year rolls around that we shift our focus on new beginnings…
It is great to reflect on the past year to see all that we’ve done and didn’t do… and then use the fresh start of a brand New Year to pick up where we want to go next. This is where the good ole’ New Year’s resolutions list comes to play. We think and we think, then we hope, and we pray for answers and for change…all in hopes to get it right this year!!!
Am I happy doing what I do each day?
What do I need to get done?
I’m going to lose weight!
I’m going to start working out every day!
I’m going to cut back on my phone!
I’m going to start eating healthier!
I’m going to take a break from social media!
I’m going to find a new job!
I’m going to start doing me!!!
I’m going to own 2015! (last year, you were going to own 2014!)
The list goes on and on and it seems that the list never changes each and every year…so here we are again! We go from a year of good times, bad times, some success, and some disappointments…and then quickly a new year comes and we feel it’s exactly what we needed because this year things are going to be different and we’re going to do it all right this year. So while we’re in “New Year’ momentum…LET’S DO IT!!! Even if that only means we are doing it for a day, a week, a month, or if we’re lucky we follow through and keep it going… Whatever we give is better than what we were doing…so GO FOR IT!!! And don’t beat yourself up if you’re not doing it perfectly. If you fall off, jump back in whenever you can and start again! You are human and one day, in perfect timing, you will get it right…and so will the rest of us! (:
Kick off week of new beginnings is in progress…what are you going to do differently to get it right this time??? Think it through, write it out, and follow through…and don’t forget to keep smiling! (:
