It sucks when you learn more about your self and your needs. You realize that a lot of your needs haven’t been met. Then you need to go back and revisit your mistakes to see where you went wrong and how you can fix it. It really sucks when you have to go back and observe the people who have helped you form your point of view. Looking at them from your new point of view reveals where a lot of your baggage come from. It hurts to have to look at those that you love as an example of what not to do.

I’ve gotten to the point where when I’m in an argument with someone, I’ve resorted to arguing their point for them. So that I can on the other end, finally get to argue their point down because they were to dense to make their point or come to their own conclusion.

The virtual world is a useful tool for understanding the real world. Its sometimes easier to understand something through metaphor than when its right in your face. Things in the real world carry emotional weight. Fear and love change the way you see things. So you can use the virtual world as a proxy to see the world through fresh eyes. It’s always easier to see other sides of a situation when you remove yourself from it and view it through unassuming eyes.
