i personally don't like Melanie Martinez because of her rape rumors (I'm not sure if it was confirmed or not but I'm still iffy about her)
but I'm watching a YouTuber who's, 1. acting like Melanie in the music videos is actually a child, 2. speaking for all victims, 3. acting like victims can't act like CryBaby did in said music videos, 4. paramisia against AgePlay & paraphilias, 5. claiming it's grooming (what???)
sure, treat the music videos like their an actual child to speak about this topic, but stop going between treating it like a actual child AND treating Melanie like a grow women in the same sentence. you have to choose one or the other, either choose the artistic choice or the reality of the artist. also said that she couldn't have a brand about trauma she didn't experience, yet if popular individuals don't speak up about topics, then popular will not listen!
she's speaking like all victims can't relate or understand that they might feel this way or that they can't have had what happened to CryBaby happen to them. ie: get groomed, abusive household, be drugged and molested, etc. she also throughout the video keeps speaking about different videos and acting like every victim feels the same way.
in one music video CryBaby 'came on to' or 'had sex' with another minor character, when the whole song is about CHILD ON CHILD SEXUAL ASSAULT! its about being sexually assaulted, and even going with it because that's how childs often think! children often do what they think is the correct thing or what their 'supposed' to do! also when the Creator spoke about the song 'Show & Tell', CryBaby is tied to strings and forced to do adult things, again showing a reflection of children doing what their made to believe is what's wanted it expected of them. said creator also was speaking like she believes you have to be the perfect victim to be valid in your trauma, I dont remember which music video but I believe it was 'Cake' where CryBaby has 'sex' with another minor character & though I believe it's meant to represent COCSA, if it is actually CryBaby engaging in sexual activity, it just goes to show not all victims are 'perfect', a victim is allowed to do things you might not think a victim would do and STILL BE A VICTIM! also 'Strwberry Shortcake', is about multiple COCSA, at least thats how I and many others interpreter it as.
she keeps calling AgePlay, which is technically under paraphilia, plus she mentioned paraphilia and only seemed to mention it to demonize it as she BARELY speaks about it for more then ten seconds, and she continues to treat it like a crime, and also treats older Melanie Martinez fans like their groomers & sexual offenders & like younger fan must be the helpless victims. she also says they drew 'CSA', when that's just not a thing.
she keeps claiming its grooming, I can't even think of what to say because shes talking about music videos.
as much as I personally don't care for Melanie Martinez, the creator of the video I'm currently reviewing obviously doesn't act care for victims and how she idolizes a perfect victim.
the paramisia is honestly disgusting, especially how she's 'speaking for all victims', she also was dismissive towards DDLG & bdsm, when you have no right to judge others! you might not have the same kinks, but you have no right to hate on PARAPHILIAS, aka sexual attraction thst cant be controlled. She also read a (un?)released song of Melanie Martinez, called 'A million Men', and calls it victim blaming. when in fact as a child, they VERY LIKELY WOULD consider themselves the issue!
I'm a victim of multiple childhood sexual assault and COCSA, I don't believe that means I know better. but it does mean that I do have a different experience. I myself, felt like it was MY FAULT, that I was assaulted and like the ONLY WAY I could be attractive is to dumb myself down and let myself be groomed. I am, in no way, a 'perfect victim', and the way creators keep PUSHING for this idea of perfect victims.
those who chase a perfect victim are looking for a star to bring them to the moon.
