Rem and s’mores

I think I figured out why Kelvin is good s’mores and Seven is evil ones. I don’t know if anyone else has said this but...

Rem may be smelling the different types of heat they radiate or would have had around them at the time of their deaths.

Kelvin was an adventurer in the cold; he would've most likely used a wooden stove or camp fire for heat.

While on the hand Seven died from the electric chair therefore he would smell like electricity or even gas. Depending on what is fueling it.

A campfire does smell good while gas and electricity wouldn't

i wanna appreciate how much seven seems to enjoy working with a team. a lot of his voicelines are him complimenting his team, notably one of his mvp lines is "you all played your parts to perfection," and "like a well-oiled machine" on assists.

i just think its neat how a such a haughty character who literally wants to become a god is eager and willing to not only work with others, but to show them respect and credit for their work.

it makes me wonder more about who he was before. does he crave comradery after being relegated to the shadows for so long? trying to recapture what he felt when he worked with kelvin?

I didn't touch my HC about Shiv having something fucky going on with him (unfortunately my HC got bastardized and it took me a long time to figure out how exactly and why lmao), but I still have idea that he's some third unknown entity, and then my brain connected two dots:

Ya know what pisses me off? Kelvin has no reason to not know what happened to Ettrick.

We know that its at MAX been two years from the fundraiser to his death and ritual.

Like yeah he died whoopty doo but the lack of information does not seem to be a problem in this universe. There's announcers, computers and libraries.

Kelvin said he looked but if he did he really is showing that he's a bad adventure and researcher. The incident that happened on that mountain wasn't a freak thing but years of taking the lax way.

Also did Ettrick not have other friends? Family? A neighbor? A job? Once again Kelvin was only dead for a year and a half. That's not much time to look for very specific information. Also get real the name Errtick isn't winning any popularity contests. You can find that.

Mind you Kelvin knows that Seven wants to kill him and says Ettrick would do so. Like you're not more concenred that a man who killed seven of the strongest occultist as they were trying to ERASE HIS SOUL wants to kill you? Beyond a question? Cause I would have A LOT of questions. The man who has enough information that someone is writing an article on him!

Side note about that rock: If his hunch is true, a person only has to break the straps off your back and you're dead. I've never seen a character so worried about being dead and willfully not caring about someone actively wanting them dead.

My coworkers refer to learning about each other as "lore update patches" and it's always surreal to hear An Internet Fandom Words offline.

It's EXTRA surreal when it's something like "oh yeah <action movie star> is a family friend, I was at his wedding when I was like 9" and they pull up pics from a news archive site as proof and there he is, the same tiny child as is in his hallway employee photo. The foreshadowing was there the whole time. What a well-written story our lives are. Holy shit.

Oh no, not me speedrunning making this goddamn chapter. Not me abusing ever loving shit out of MovinkPad, my god THIS THING WONT LET ME LEAVE IT. Krita works fabulously on this thing and pressure is just I want to eat it all up.

But yeah, I got to this chapter and froze. I wanted to tackle Grey Talon's grief angle and that meant I'd have to go a bit into what made Grey Talon so compelling character for me. Grief is a bitch and although it does fade a bit, it's still there. Thankfully I got much better at managing it, but it can still creep up when I'm not looking. Me doing this chapter unfortunately coincided with death of someone who helped me a lot when I needed it, you could say I speed-run it to not dwell on the fact. He was cheeky bastard, I'll tell you that.

I apologize for wonky parts because this is also part where I managed to collect courage and just do regular ink with the ink type of brush. I can't get better if I don't use it, can I?
